I have always had wonderful experiences at Village Cinemas, but today I had an incredibly poor and bizarre encounter. Before the movie started, I was lining up to buy snacks. There was no one behind me. There was a family in front of me who briefly stepped out of the queue but then returned. At that moment, a counter opened up, and the counter staff called me over. Out of courtesy, I offered to let the family go ahead of me since they were originally in front. However, they insisted that I go first, so I stepped up to the counter to make my purchase. It was at this point that the staff member, a Duty Manager named Blake, said to me that I shouldn't be in the 'Pre-Order' line. He added that he would 'let it slide this time' since the other customer referring to the family had allowed me to go ahead. His behavior was completely unacceptable and baffling. First of all, there was absolutely no one behind me in the Pre-Order line. Second, the family who politely let me go ahead was not even in the Pre-Order line themselves. I felt like I was being lectured and scolded for absolutely no reason. When I tried to explain the situation to him, he deliberately feigned ignorance and acted as if he couldn't understand what I was saying. To make matters worse, he then passive-aggressively asked me, 'How is your day going?' I replied, 'Everything was fine, except for what is happening right now.' At that point, he started playing dumb again, deliberately trying to make me look foolish in public.I cannot understand the point of his power trip and condescending attitude. It completely ruined what should have been a pleasant cinema experience. Someone with this complete lack of professional communication skills and emotional intelligence has absolutely no business working in customer service. The only thing I can think of is he love to told people off to make himself look better
Disgusting and unhygienic experience – bug crawling on me during the movie! Booking no: 2327741nVisited on 29 December 2025 for the 5:45 PM session of Avatar: Fire and Ash in Cinema 4 Booking Reference: 2327741. Midway through the film, I felt an insect crawling on my back, and it then flew across the theatre. It was absolutely revolting and completely ruined the movie. The theatre was visibly dirty, with poor cleaning evident – clearly not up to standard for a public venue like this.nThis raises serious concerns about hygiene and pest control at Village Cinemas Knox. Patrons pay good money expecting a clean, safe environment, not pests interrupting the experience.nI tried to report this privately via the official enquiries/contact form on the Village Cinemas website, but it doesn’t work keeps erroring or not submitting. No reliable way to provide feedback directly, so unfortunately having to share publicly here.nVillage needs to urgently address cleaning and pest issues – deep clean Cinema 4 and improve maintenance overall. Very disappointed, won’t be returning until standards improve.
Absolutely disgusting state. Entered the cinema to find popcorn scattered throughout the floor and our seats. Abysmal.
We had a lovely time tonight in Gold Class watching Deadpool 3. The lounge was very well presented and bar extremely inviting. A great menu and selection of quality wines and cocktails. We were chauffeured to our seats by a friendly young lady. The seats were super comfortable and reclined. The dividing table had lots of room for food and drinks. Overall a great experience.
Came tonight to see the movie Obsession. Bought my ticket at the kiosk on the wall but there was no option to buy any bags of lollies on the kiosk so I got my ticket, then stood in the click and collect line. The sign on that line says it’s for anyone who has prepaid for tickets and food online or on the kiosks. I got called over to the candy desk and just mentioned that I’d bought a ticket and just wanted to purchase a bag of Maltesers and was told I needed to line up in the normal line as the line I was in was only for prepaid tickets. I believe it was the manager who said this because he was wearing a different shirt to everyone else so he either needs to read the sign and understand what it says or the sign needs to be changed to prepaid online only.
