Fantastic location near the Auckland CBD. I chose this hotel so I wouldn't have to drive around the city and it worked out great. Went to Sky Tower, Queen Street shopping and the wharves. Valet parking meant I didn't have to worry about the car. Had an issue with a clogged drain when we checked in, but the staff cleared it the same day while we were at dinner. Wonderful views on our floor - loved the little balcony.
Good location and nice views of the harbour/port. The dishwasher didn’t work. No dishcloths provided to wash up in the sink. Reception staff didn’t arrange for any to be provided when I told them. The washing machine had a lot of hair in it. Smelled bad. Wouldn’t use it. There was plaster dust in the bathroom and carpets. Looked like it hadn’t been properly vacuumed for a while. The king bed was made up of 2 king singles. They started to separate after the first night. The TV, microwave and fridge worked. Overall even for the price it was not a great stay. Seems from reading other reviews now that these issues have happened to others quite a bit.
The bed is very comfortable, quiet place and very central and good reasonable price.nJust to note, if housekeeping is going to come into the room each day, you should give guest the option if they want to change their towels if so they leave on the floor, if they are hanging up then they don't need to be touched just like other hotels are doing, a good way for not doing too much washing.nThe breakfast is abit boring not much too it, can be nice if it was changed up every so often.
Can’t really understand why it only got 3.4 starsI mean the hotel was just perfect for this price. I’ve stayed for 6 nights and it was a really nice stay. It was a spacious room and the kitchen just got everything I wanted. The bed was soft and comfortable. It may not be fancy or fashionable, but it was tidy and clean. The staff helped make up bed, clear rubbish bins and change towel everyday. You can also access Netflix and Youtube. The soundproofing was good as I could rarely hear noise outside, even my room was near the lift. The shower was strong and water was hot enough. The price was also reasonable. It was just what I expected, or even better. The stay in the Quadrant was satisfying. 5 stars for a must!
A great stay for a great price.nnA lot of the time, reviews are looking for perfection without the reviewer having to pay the price.nnFrom my experience, the quadrant has been a great and cost effective place of stay for me over the past 5 years with 1. Excellent service 2. OK breakfast but good dinner 3. Full range amenities at good quality 4. Very fair price point.nnYou get what you pay for in the price, and more. Based on other reviews, don’t expect a 5 star quality of service if you’re not willing to pay for it, just admit you’re broke and stingy.
