As someone who is a fan of the grand millennium hotels, I was looking forward to the stay in Auckland.nBed was comfortable, shower was amazing, hot water was peak. Breakfast was great and had variety. Staff service was great too.nHowever, upon checking in they couldn’t find my booking and then realised someone had checked me in before, which didn’t make sense. Staff gave us 10% off drinks which was nice.nThe automatic lock on our door stopped working multiple times even though the card worked. Turns out the battery needed to be changed twice on two separate days. Again staff were helpful and kind.nOne big thing was, in the room description it says heated flooring and heater, it was the middle of winter in NZ and our room did not have heated floors nor did the heater work properly, it was slightly warm at best. We were freezing most of the nights.nFree parking was great and overall we had a good stay. Does it compare to the stay in Malaysia? No. But the staff and the amenities made up for the lack of everything else. View of the sky tower was good too.nPlease fix the heating in the rooms would be my one recommendation.
20260808 - back againn20260801 - 35 min ride from airport. Located near cbd area and 5 min walking distance to intercity bus stop. Hotel was newly renovated in 2026, hence everything is sparkling new and clean. Hotel offers free very fast wifi. As a prestige member, my room was upgraded to club room and given club lounge access. Given early check in at 12 pm as well. Room is spacious. Aircon is cool. Shower pressure is strong and water is hot. Bed is comfy and i managed to get good rest. The club lounge serves mainly pastries with no cooked food, but the evening drinks and food is great. Highly recommended!
The rooms were clean and housekeeping did a great job keeping everything tidy each day. The location was convenient and close to lots of places to eat, shop, and get around. It was handy having a good restaurant inside the hotel as well. The beds were comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would be happy to stay here again.
We recently stayed at the Grand Millennium for two nights and honestly, it was flawless from start to finish.nnEvery single touchpoint exceeded expectations. The staff were exceptional, warm, professional, and genuinely helpful, which made a huge difference from the moment we arrived. The location is perfect, central and convenient for everything we needed.nnOur room was immaculate, spacious, and incredibly comfortable, making it easy to relax after a busy day. The facilities were just as impressive, the pool was a hit and the ease of carpark access made coming and going completely stress free. We did however walk everywhere as it's so close to activities in the city.nnBreakfast at Ember was a standout, delicious, fresh, and with plenty of options for everyone. It really set us up for the day.nnWhat stood out most is how well this hotel caters to both families and professionals. It is family friendly, while also being an ideal option for businesses needing accommodation for staff, or a polished, well run venue for meetings and conferences.nnWe would absolutely stay again without hesitation. Highly recommend to anyone looking for quality, comfort, and a seamless experience.
My stay was a work trip to attend a conference at the hotels function room. I would stay again for a work trip, for a personal trip and reccomend to others as a place to stay and host events and conferences. I found the customer service really accomodating ahead of my stay with some additional requests I had made and my check in with Chika was great, she was lovely at 3am! explained everything I needed to know for my stay and helped me sort through some matters with my booking in a really helpful way. In room dining is good and their smash burger might be the best room service burger I have had at any hotel in the world. The breakfast buffet I tried on my last day tried a bit of everything but the juicy pineapple and the bircher muesli were the favorites. I had a great sleep - the bed is really comfortable, I liked the shower, good water pressure but found moving the shower tap half a centimetere would result in a temp increase of 1000 degrees....gotta get outta the way of the water.
