We only had a night's stay but it was such a fantastic experience. Great staff all round in every interaction we had. From checking in, to room service to breakfast team in the morning. We will definitely come back and stay here again!
UNEXPECTED GUESTnThe hotel is well presented at check but the lifts are a bit clunky and the hall ways require a good clean. We stayed on the 16th floor and the hall had a musky smell to it and looked dirtynnThe room it’s self was comfortable and clean , apart from carpet which is way over due for a cleannThe bed was wonderfully comfortable one of the best I’ve slept in while awaynnThe hotel is in walking distance to all your needsnMy review would of been an average score of three except for the reason I would not returnnnWe returned to our room in the middle of the afternoon and when we opened the door there was a women standing in our room, she obviously had a key and she looked awkward like she had been caught out, but said she was just checking our room had been cleaned and raced out the doornnThis may of been the case but I felt it was a huge invasion of privacy , we had money, passports as well as all our personal belongings in our room and it put us on edge, is it the hotel’s policy that staff members can enter visitors rooms any time they like,nSomething to think about when choosing accommodationnnI would think it would be the correct thing to do would be knock and ask when we were here or call us from reception and asknnThe bathroom was well presented but I found the bath really high to step into to get to the shower and had no rail on the wall or mat on bath floor to grip on tonThis could potentially be a falling hazard
Best location in CBD and close to everything. Good customer service and reception. Lifts are really good and fast. Gym is great with sauna.nRooms a bit outdated from quality of items ..like the tub and taps in the shower. Aircon is great. But all other accessories are good and on demand if anything needed. Some more dust cleaning needed under the bed sides and behind since I found an empty condom sachet underneath one of them when I wanted to pick my AirPods. Generally I love crown plaza in different places, this one needs a bit of more quality renovation to match the high price.nAlso good open buffet breakfast with extra cost if needed with good service.
Always stay here when we fly into Auckland. Hotel is a little tired but the service is great. My bathroom door was locked from the inside at 1am and I went down to ask for help. The night management team can’t remember the two gentlemen’s names were efficient and wonderful in solving the issue. Very quiet and considerate too as I informed them my family were sleeping soundly. Thank you to the both of you. Location is central and you can pretty much walk anywhere from here.
The staff were so helpful and friendly .From my house keeper to concierge and front desk nothing was too much trouble. I travel for work on a regular basis and this was by far a great experience. Only negative is all the roadworks outside but that can’t be helped.
