The hotel looks amazing from the outside and nice inside too. Had a little issue with the parking but the manager sorted out.nThe room had kitchenette and washing machine and although a little dated, nothing was in a bad state.nWe couldn't get the chromescast to work but the kids were more playing on their tablets anyway.nThe neighborhood can be rowdy at night but it is in the City so expected. If you have young kids, maybe try and get a room facing the park just so they are not exposed to street noise and drunk people etc. But this is not a fault of the Hotels and its not loud all the time.nThere were also things we did enjoy the comfy big beds and the heated pool and hot tub were amazing and being able to see the top of skytower from our bed was pretty neat and the staff were polite.nI would stay here again with my kids but would ask for a room not facing the street, just where it's a bit quietter.
I recently stayed at this hotel, and my experience was nothing short of disappointing. I had booked a multi-night stay but had to cut my trip short due to an emergency. My son had an accident, and I had to urgently return to Australia from New Zealand.nnWhen I informed the on-site manager, of the situation, he assured me in person that I would receive a refund for the remaining nights. Trusting his word, I left the country. However, once I was back in Australia, I was shocked to find that he had changed his mind and refused to refund the money as promised.nnThis kind of unprofessional and unethical behavior is unacceptable. It's one thing to face an unfortunate situation, but to have the hotel add to the stress by reneging on their word is beyond frustrating. I would strongly advise future guests to be cautious and not rely on verbal promises made by the management at this hotel.nnI definitely wouldn’t recommend booking at this hotel as they will steal your money and give you broken promises. I hope this review helps others avoid the same disappointing experience I had.
We booked a Deluxe Studio for 2 nights.nn1. First up the room looked nothing like the photo for the Deluxe Studio from the website...it was tiny.nn2. The shower screen leaked water all over the floor and had a dodgy silicone glue job to 'fix' it. Shower screen also wasn't secured properly and moved if you leant you hand on it.nn3. There was no power point in the bathroom so had to plug hair-dryer etc in the kitchen.nn4. You couldn't change the temperature of the room and it was constantly stuffy.nn5. The balcony sliding door didn't close properly so we could hear traffic all night.nn6. The room had the weirdest smell almost like sewerage.nn7. Reception told me that it takes 5-7 business days to get your $200 deposit back...still waiting a week later. That is ridiculous!nnAll round the hotel room has very outdated and bathroom was even worse. There were scuff marks on all the walls and chipped furniture. Definitely not what I expected from a 4 star hotel considering the outside looked very nice.nnQuite disappointing.
Loud stomping from a neighboring room at most hours of the night.nDruggo's regularly screaming on the street below, or from opposite hotels/apartmentsnFire engine sirens all day and night, as the station is just up the road. Not their fault obviously but still, not nice...nCleaners were great, that's about it.nMy authorization charge would not clear even after checking out, effectively causing my travel card to be double charged for a 10 night stay... Would have seriously affected my holiday if I wasn't leaving the country that day. Contacted the hotel about the issue, was told in broken English to contact my bank about it.
I am highly disappointed with the service I received from your hotel. We drove over 18 hours to come to Auckland for my birthday and to stay at your hotel and then to be told that you want to charge over a grand to stay when I had spoken to a lady 2 weeks before confirming a price and then you change the price, I also asked her on the phone if I was able to pay cash and she said I was allowed to pay cash and then the lady who was at the desk said that I wasn’t allowed to pay cash and to go to a eftpos machine. The lady that I spoke to was very rude and was not helpful at all. I will not be staying here again.
