The team at Southside Toyota Mt Gravatt couldn't have been more helpful in the search for, and purchase of, my very first car. Chris meticulously explained the features of the Corolla Cross, and made every effort to make the process as smooth as possible. I never felt pressured to invest in any extras. The decision was always my own, and I was presented with all the necessary information to make an informed decision. Lei expertly ran me through my Toyota Financing, and made sure I left with the best insurance plan possible for someone my age. The car was also promptly prepared in a matter of days. I have nothing but respect for Southside Toyota Mt Gravatt's exceptional service and I will definitely be back for all of my servicing and purchasing needs in future!
We chose Southside Toyota because we were assured our vehicle could be delivered within a timeframe that was important to us. Unfortunately, from the outset we felt the customer service fell short of what you would expect when making a big purchase. My husband waited around 50 minutes to speak with the salesperson Chris, after arranging a time to meet with him, only to be told when he had a chance to sit down and speak with him that he was 'walking out that door In 13 minutes, so do you want to buy the car or not'. This was one of the many disappointing conversations throughout the process. Despite the feedback we later provided, Chris still has not acknowledged or responded to our email. After receiving calls from other dealerships from enquiries I had made I was advised they had a car that could be delivered prior to delivery we needed, after raising this with Chris with hopes this would mean our order would be delivered his response was ‘I’m glad you have a plan b but we’ll still be friends at the end of the day’ it was at this point we realised this was not going to work moving forwards.nnWe completely understand that unexpected delays happen and appreciate that some factors are outside the dealership’s control. Had the issue simply been the delay, we would likely have remained understanding. What disappointed us most was how the situation was handled. Communication lacked empathy, very little ownership was taken as circumstances changed, and we were left feeling that our business simply wasn’t valued. While the Sales Manager, Wayne did eventually acknowledge our concerns and apologise, this only happened after we followed up when our feedback initially went unanswered inclusive of clarity around the refundable deposit to be returned.nnThis review isn’t about the missed delivery date, it’s about the customer service we experienced when things didn’t go to plan. We hope Southside Toyota takes this feedback on board and improves its communication and customer care moving forward.

The broader team was a pleasure to deal with and always on hand to keep things moving smoothly. The service and pre-delivery team also did a superb job, presenting the car in pristine condition and fitting the aftermarket number plate accessories and features with precision and care.nnAs someone purchasing their first car, what stood out most was the consistency of care across the entire team. Over eleven months, everyone I dealt with remained courteous, communicative and committed to supporting me with the purchase of my dream vehicle.
