Standard overpriced corporate carpark. That said it's pretty convenient if you have a car that needs parking and you can't be bothered looking for one on the street.
I would only give 4 stars for the car park since it's very busy and there is hardly any spot at around 1.40pm. The layout is also kinda confusing with different turns and corners. I would definitely give 5 stars for the staff here though. I approached him and explained that I am lost and could not find my car while carrying groceries bought from Woollies. He then asked for my car details and went around to help me find it. Really appreciate the gesture and help - someone please give this man a payrise. It was around 3 to 3.30pm, Saturday 8 August 2020.
Nice venue with a good variety of restaurant. If going at night there is a cool little light show that runs at 7 and 9pm. The only nuisance is only the first two hours of parking is free which isn't great if you want to sit and enjoy a meal. Half an hour over and prices start at $10. There is a little bit of street parking around which is an option at night.
Have a scan of your rego, but want to charge you $42 for a stay under two hours if you lose your ticket! Could easily show the stay was short by entering the rego, but would rather revenue raise by charging for lost tickets, and at a rate even higher than the maximum possible stay! At least make it match, then it wouldn't be so damn obvious. Absolutely disgusting. Will never return purely on principal.
under 2 hours parking is free! That’s a joking and trap for shoppers, it’s accumulation time a day, if you come over here twice, you are very likely to be robbed at least $10 parking fee and creat chaos before boom gate as you thought you were free but you need pay before getting out. Just want money without considering management and care about shoppers. Never come to Newstead Gasworks forever because this ridiculous secure car park.
2 hours free parking at the Gasworks Newstead definitely not enough time to enjoy the dining! They have a camera up the ceiling scanning your rego. If you dine in a restaurant at lunch and come back later for a coffee. The parking time is accumulated and you may end up easily paying at least $10-20 for parking! Disappointed with the parking service!
Great place for a coffee or a meal. Standard Market is definitely worth checking out too! Nice at anytime of the day & a few hours of free parking for shoppers.
Parking spaces are good enough and have green or red light above to show occupancy. Smaller spaces are indicated accordingly with a Small Car written on the floor. The Skyring entrance and exit are not well designed if you have a big car. It is tight and you can see many marks from people who have scratched their cars. It really needed a bigger curve space. Some spaces may have leaks dripping on your car, so be mindful of that too.
Reasonable amount of parking. Free for the first 2 hours, then you have to pay $10 after which it goes up by $5 increments per hour. There is also some street parking available nearby and a bus-stop from the ferry terminal.
Congratulations, you have successfully deterred me from ever visiting Gasworks to eat again. Never mind the hundred + dollars I just spent on dinner, because I was 3 minutes over on my measley 2 hrs free parking, I had to add 10 more dollars to my night out. Interestingly, everyone else offers 3 hrs free. Who goes out for dinner for less than 2 hrs???? Plenty of other places in Brisbane to eat without the unnecessary car parking fee!!
