Thank you Peppers for a most enjoyable stay. The rooms are comfortable and modern. We had a room overlooking the lake which was lovely. Full breakfast was excellent apart from the coffee..but that was only a slight negative. Also..like to thank staff for a lovely surprise of a chocolate fondue set with things to dip..yummy!

Beautiful view from our 10th level 2bedroom suite. Friendly staff. The only negatives were having to haul up luggage up the front steps of the hotel and then up to our room again. Our room was quite noisy at night with cars and people walking back from town at all hours of the night. This is probably not an issue on lower levels.

Lovely hotel on the waterfront. Great breakfast. One issue is the tiled courtyard all of the tiles are loose and splash water up your legs.

The people that work here are beautiful. The place is well appointed with buffet breaks, sauna, spa etc. The rooms are small and ours was a terrace room with no windows at all. We went with 2 teenage boys and our room, due to louvers into the main living from main bed, had little privacy for sound.

While the location and initial appearance of the hotel were lovely, we were very disappointed with our stay at Peppers. Similar to a previous review I have read it is a number of small things that make for a very average stay. The 2 bedroom garden apartment only has a front door and no other windows, making it very stuffy, and the lack of airconditioning or even a fan made for a stuffy, sticky environment. The bed has been the least comfortable on our New Zealand holiday, on the day they did service the room they did not empty the bins or replenish the toilet paper and we were kept awake at night by very noisy ceilings (people above us). That's not to mention the shocking garden paving that noisily splashed water up on your legs while you walked and a charge of $24 per night to park your car in the hotel's parking! By the way the gym is a joke! The reception staff were lovely though...
