Was a great stay we had booked into a 2 bedroom apartment but when we checked in it was located in the bottom floor near the road. We asked to be moved to a higher floor with a better view which was not a problem the next day we were moved to an amazing room with view to match. The manager went above and beyond to accommodate us! Very happy with our stay. Staff were lovely and super helpful.
We stayed in the 2-Bedroom Lake View Suite. It's about a 10-minute walk to the city center, and the hotel overall feels quite dated. We encountered several issues during our stay: one bedroom had very weak Wi-Fi signal, and one day the replaced bed sheet had a large gray stain. When we called the front desk, she told us housekeeping was off duty and handed us the sheet to change it ourselves. Also, used cups and plates were left unwashed, and parking costs extra. Aside from these, everything else was okay.
We were a bit worried after reading some of these reviews but were pleasantly reassured on arrival. The room was great - stunning views from the lounge and dining area, a well appointed kitchen and a beautiful fire place. We had the 2 bedroom and it was spacious with 2 bathrooms with heated floors.nnThe staff were lovely and housekeeping came everty day we didnt have a do not disturb up. They did come in tbe afternoons though which was different to what we were used to from other resorts where house keeping is earlier.nnMy only negative would be the shower heads. They had a mind of their own often shooting up in the air with no way to fix them short of keeping the water pressure low - which isnt ideal.
I am writing to formally lodge a serious complaint regarding my stay at Peppers Beacon Queenstown from 18.04.2026 to 20.04.2026. My experience was not only distressing but physically unsafe and professionally negligent.n1. Scalding Hazard & Injury Room 205:nOn my first day, the shower water temperature fluctuated violently from freezing to scalding without any movement of the handle. I was burnt several times; my skin remains red as of today. This is a severe health and safety breach that I expect to be addressed immediately.n2. Room 102 Failures:nAfter reporting the shower issue, I was given a key to Room 102 for showering. I arrived to find the room had not been cleaned. Furthermore, the water temperature in 102 still fluctuated, and the shower drain was congested to the point where I was standing in ankle-deep water.n3. Room 602, Gross Negligence & Misinformation:nOn my third night, after the key to 102 failed, I was assigned Room 602. The receptionist assured me the room was clean and the laundry was accessible on that floor. However:nInadequate Directions: We were not told Room 602 was across an outdoor garden. We spent significant time searching a pitch-black outdoor platform in minimal clothing in the Queenstown cold.nMaintenance & Accessibility: The room was hidden under a maintenance structure, and the door could not even be fully opened.nHygiene Standards: Despite the receptionist’s assurances, the room was 100% uncleaned. Used towels were strewn across the bathroom and rubbish bins were full.nLaundry Misinformation: The receptionist insisted the laundry was on the 6th floor. After finally being guided to the room, I asked again where the laundry was. She then led me up another flight of stairs to the 7th floor. It is unacceptable that your front-of-house staff does not know the basic layout of the building or where your facilities are located.nI am shocked that a guest who had already been injured by your facilities was then subjected to such incompetence. Being forced to wander outdoors in the dark while inadequately dressed—only to be given a dirty, obstructed room and incorrect information—is a total failure of your duty of care.nYour hotel failed to provide services with reasonable care and skill. I am seeking a full refund for this stay to compensate for the physical injury, the lack of basic hygiene, and the extreme distress caused.
It's a good hotel! I chose this accomodation because it is close to the lake and town centre, has a carpark, and it's reasonably priced paid about 1k SGD for 3 nights in March.nnStaff were friendly and accomodating. I requested for a high floor room with lake views and they provided it even though I'm just a small customer only booked 1 room for 1 pax.nnOnly downside is that the partition walls were a bit thin so I could hear my neighbors chatting next door
