Stayed here for 3 nights for my honeymoon and would absolutely stay again. The location was ideal walkable to everything in Queenstown, the rooms were a comfortable size, and the decor was bold and unique. The amenities were also lovely, as the hotel provided wine, coffee, seltzer water and snacks in our room all locally made and offered a light happy hour with wine and snacks from 5-6pm each night. The bed was also quite comfortable.
I had been curious of staying at this hotel but had thought due to being a boutique hotel I imagined would come with a hefty price tag. I was wrong, the price was really reasonable, and I am so glad I stayed here. The service was warm and friendly, the atmosphere was great. The location is perfect the rooms are lovely. I enjoyed my stay so much. Rooms: Lovely. Quirky, nice size. Nearby activities: Pretty much everything. King pin, fear factory, bars, restaurants, shops, gondola Walkability: Very good location, in Queenstown centre.
Pros: the location was execellent. We only stayed in Queenstown for 1 night, and this hotel is walking distance to Skyline and the many restaurants close by. They have parking on site tho spots are very close. Cons: 1. Upon arrival, we learned that due to maintenance issues the room we originally booked is not available. The lady at reception said they took the liberty and moved us to another hotel a few kms away, and claimed that they have sent a message to me on agoda. I received a total of 7 very long messages from this hotel after i booked, and the last one started with "Your booking is confirmed". We were exhausted after a full day of driving and no alternative was offered until we pushed and asked if they have another room available and just refund us the difference. The manager was able to do that in the end, but what i don't understand is why this is optio not offered in the first place. Being a "luxury" hotel meaning the staff should be trained to handle such situations and give travelers options instead of oh i can't find your booking which caused a big scare, and oh wait it's because we moved you. Also if you really tried to reach me, you would've call me, not send me 7 irrelevant long messages and bury this information in a short paragraph in one of them, with no options to modify my reservation or cancel my reservation. Overall I didn't find the service professional. 2. The hotel is structured like an old house, and it felt like one. When i was taking a shower early in the morning around 7am suddenly my hot water started to wane out, and it felt like oh my brother next room woke up and is taking a shower and we're fighting for water. We stayed at about 8 motels across south island each for half the price of this and never experienced this issue. Overall I would not come back to the hotel. The room is nice and decor is cute but does not out weight the cons for us. Nearby activities: Walking distance to Skyline
I stayed at The Central Private in 2022 and thought I’d give The Dairy Private a try, and it did not disappoint! The decor is super charming and cute for pictures. My room was clean, the staff was friendly, the complimentary breakfast was delicious I cannot stop thinking about that ham and cheese croissant!, the free daily happy hour treats were a delight, you can’t beat its location, and I can honestly go on and on about what great of a stay I had... Overall a perfect home-away-from-home. Highly recommended! Walkability: Less than 2-minute walk from Skyline Queenstown and very close to all the shops/restaurants in city center.
Naumi Dairy Private Hotel is hands down one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in - the amazing service, the little extras.... the attention to detail is outstanding. Everything has been executed to a perfect level. The happy hour is amazing, the complimentary minibar is so sweet and the location is just out of the way enough to feel luxurious but close enough to the action. Also, an extra shout out to Alex from Naumi Central who took care of us here at Naumi Dairy Private; you made everything extra special. A special thanks for the little birthday treats This is the third hotel we have stayed in the last 3 weeks, from Hawaii to Fiji to Queenstown, and it really made an impact. Well done team!
Cute, boutique hotel with wine and beer free happy hour and modest breakfast included. Beautiful views and parking on site. Have been to the sister Naumi hotel in Singapore and booth have a relaxed but upmarket attitude. Only downsides were road works being completed outside blocking the view from the breakfast room although the double glazing kept the place cozy and the hot tub being shut contamination of Queenstown water supply. Would stay again!
Fantastic location, a nice and short easy walk up to the Skyline or a similarly short walk down to town centre. Friendly staff, nice size room and bed well looked after and modern, with a nice view of the town below and mountains in the background. Wee treats offered in room and guest lounge which added a nice touch and welcoming feel. Would definitely stay again
Great hotel we stayed in for 3 nights. It's located in the middle of town, the rooms are a good size and beds were large and very comfortable. The happy hour with free drinks and nibbles was a great addition.Rooms: 5/5
Very comfortable and stylish hotel in a great spot in Queenstown. We experienced an evacuation during our stay and had to leave the hotel at 3am for safety reasons. The owner took charge, communicated the situation well and made sure we were looked after and safe. He then relocated us to another hotel under the Naumi brand with no hassle at all. All of the staff here genuinely cared about us and the other guests and supported us through a challenging time.
Great location and facilities. Really loved the lounge with drinks and sweets available. We wish we had time to enjoy the hot tub but this gives us a reason to come back. Whilst parking wasn't available at the hotel due to the roadworks/construction nearby, we found the parking option at Mann Street carpark to be great and really close by we were told it was a few hundred metres but it's actually really really close. Rooms: Roomy and comfortable. Good amenities and great views. Walkability: Extremely close to town. It is part way up the hill towards the gondola so some fitness is required.
