By far the worst campsite I stayed at in New Zealand. The sites are small and very close to each other. Entire park is basically a glorified parking lot where people sleep.nThe amenities block seems like it is some temporary shack. The showers are disgusting, probably the result of not having enough of them.nThe “free” wifi is actually capped at 1GB a day. After this you gotta pay up.nThere isn’t a good spot for kids to play. As a result they entertain themselves in the roads, which isn’t the safest spot. We had kids ride their bicycle into our campervan twice.nnThe only thing this place got going for them is the location. The center is walkable and there is some cute cafes nearby.nnDefinitely not worth the $60/night they ask for.
Location is amazing. We had a great stay. Our view was great. The shower was awesome. If I had to say anything to make my stay better... The bed could of done with a topper to make more comfortable and the room needed a bottle opener. We will be back for sure. Thank you
Great central location and value for money. 5 adults shared a 6-bed flat. The shower was brilliant, the views from the patio/balcony were superb, free parking onsite during your stay - highly recommend.
Pretty good campground. The ground is extremely parched at tent sites, near impossible to get pegs into the ground appreciate there is much the park can do about this though.nnThe location could be beautiful but the site is basically next to a car park with nothing but a medal temporary fence separating it.nnOverall though good stay, great location and good facilities
Good location close to the town center within walking distance. But kitchen and toilets were extremely dirty. Most of the toilets didn’t have toilet paper and didn’t look like it was being cleaned daily.. I noticed because there was floss and toilet paper on the floor for the 3 days in a row. Kitchen wasn’t cleaned either.. and I understand that us visitors and guests have to keep it clean, but there was a chilly bin full of rubbish that smelled in the kitchen the entire time we were there.. no staff bothered to remove of it. Soap was also never refilled, stoves didn’t work the best either. Saw many staff walk through but didn’t bother to clean. Sites can be a bit crowded depending how people are parked but enough space for us to get in and out comfortably.
