Definitely not 4 starsnExperienced 4 different apartments with friends.nPositives = great views and location - a short walk into town and bus stop.nNegatives - 1 of 4 apartments acceptable but others very dated, cupboards needing repair, door number missing, patchy paint jobs etc.nsome back smaller bedrooms had blacked out windows that can’t be opened.nMissing basics - one electric kettle wouldn’t automatically turn off, had to ask for coffee plungers in 2 apartments, hand soap is in recycled body lotion containers…nCleanliness lacking eg dirt on doors and rubbish on balcony.nUse if price acceptable for location/views but don’t expect 4star.
DO NOT RECOMMEND!! They claimed to be a 4-star hotel on Agoda, but in reality it’s nowhere near 4 stars. The parking is shared with Lakeside Motel, and if the parking is full you have to park on the street. The staff are not friendly at all. The room is old, the facilities are outdated, and one of the bedrooms is very cramped with a tiny window facing a wall.nnThe only good thing is that it’s next to the lake, but even then, the curtains are just a single layer with no privacy curtain. People outside can see straight into the room — it’s terrible.nnOverall, it was really disappointing and absolutely not worth the rating. If you plan to stay here, think twice — it’s no different from a motel. You’re better off staying at a real motel instead.nnI’m traveling and staying in South Island for 6 nights, and this is the worst place I’ve stayed.
The location was fine but the actual place was already misleading where they weren't clear that there were going to be steep steps going downstairs.nnFurthermore, the outlets in each room are strangely placed and its difficult to charge applications. Some of the buttons to turn on lights are also slightly coming off and so are one of the outlets.nnThere's also a suspicion of theft in our room as cleaners come in and go when we are out and an expensive diamond ring was taken from a pouch where it was never even taken it out to use before. They claim not to be the thieves and brough every single cleaner to somehow fix the situation as if anyone would confess.nnIf you plan to stay, take this into consideration and keep your valuables safe.

Waking up to the serene waters and the surrounding mountains was truly unforgettable — it felt like a perfect escape into nature.nnThe apartment itself was clean, quiet, and well-equipped, providing everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I especially appreciated the peaceful atmosphere, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the beauty of Queenstown.nnThe combination of modern facilities and the stunning lakefront scenery created a wonderful balance of comfort and natural charm. It was clear that great care is taken to ensure guests have a memorable experience.nnI would highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Queenstown. If you are looking for a place with spectacular lake views and a cozy, welcoming environment, this is the perfect choice. I will definitely return in the future and share my positive experience with friends and family.
Lakefront Apartments cancelled our booking the day before we were due to arrive. They blamed overbooking, however we had booked weeks in advance. Two stars instead of one because they did the bare minimum and refunded our pre-payment.
