Location of this hotel is unbeatable! Especially if you’re lucky enough to get a ground level lakeside room. The rooms are out date though. The staff at the breakfast buffet were so friendly. Young guy behind the bar also made my partners day by complimenting him on his dragon ball z shirt as we walked past All in all I don’t think I’d pay the amount of money we did to stay again.
I loved the location and the staff. They were extremely courteous even though the property was fully booked out. The location cannot be any more brilliant than this.nnHowever, as an extensive traveler, I did feel the hotel needs a desperate upgrade. Especially the carpeting in the floor hallways as well as the rooms. It is not good value for money. I also saw opportunity to improve their buffet breakfast quality. When you mass produce food, the quality needs a close check. It did the job of providing breakfast. But it’s good to check how everything looks, tastes and is presented in high volumes.nnAll said, I would not hesitate one bit to book again because what made the difference is the staff.
The location is excellent, with Queenstown Gardens literally in your backyard and city centre in walking distance . The surroundings are very nice and clean, and the staff are incredibly helpful and caring. However, our room was extremely outdated, and the bathtub was rusted and uncomfortable to use for a shower. Although we asked the staff to clean it, and they tried their best, it was simply too old and beyond cleaning or repair.nnThis hotel has so much potential with its fantastic location, but I strongly recommend that management consider renovating the older parts of the building to maintain the brand's reputation and improve the overall quality of the guest experience.nnHighly recommended—just be sure to request one of the newer rooms when making your reservation!
Pros: All staff were incredible and went above and beyond to check me into a room close to my family. We arrived early and although our rooms weren’t ready, our luggage was taken to our rooms before we returned. The location is perfect! Close to everything you need.nHousekeeping was impeccable. Freshly made beds and towels daily, without fail.nnCons: The rooms are in desperate need of a refurbishment. The hotel itself is quite dated and could do with a refreshing upgrade. The shower was awkward to step into and water went everywhere.nThe buffet breakfast could have been better, in terms of variety and quality. The in room dining options were not great and the meal I ordered was not enjoyable. The mini bar selections were also disappointing.nnOverall I was happy with my 4 night stay and would choose to stay here again.
The location of this simple hotel just at the lakes edge is excellent. A couple minutes walk and you’re in the town!nThe check in staff were friendly and efficient as well as the concierge and bell hops .nThe rooms are clean and basic, with coffee, tea, sparkling and flat water, a safe, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, the towels were a bit rough. The room did have a small patio with a door that opened onto the center courtyard.nIn the restaurant on the second level, We had a nice welcome lunch and we did have breakfast included. Both were buffet style with a good variety of selections.
