I arrived around 5PM and was checked in within 2 minutes, and the staff at the reception was friendly. The room was spacious enough since I travelled solo. It has a sink with soap, towels and a hairdryer. The bathroom is cleaned regularly and smelled good. The guest lounge had all amenities you could possibly need. A toaster, kettle, coffee/tea sachets and an air fryer. There is also an indoor seating area with a TV and books. The outdoor seating area is spacious and quiet, with a nice view of the mountains and lake. Overall I can't complain about the value for price, as I mainly used my room just to sleep. Would definitely recommend the lodge to people visiting the city and looking for a budget friendly stay.nnDisliked · I noticed some water drainage sound occasionally outside my room which was a bit disturbing when trying to sleep. Getting to the lodge requires you to hike up a pretty steep road, but shouldn't be an issue since you can catch a bus from the city that drops you off to a stop that's within 2 minutes walking distance from the lodge.
Enjoyed my stay here back in January, was in a single bedded private room. The room was clean and had a sink, bench, and enough space for opening up a carry on case. There was also lovely smelling shampoo and body wash in the showers. Kitchen facilities were decent. Would return again, good value especially for the price.
The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable. We did have a mix up re the beds, which couldn't be sorted until our second day, but it was sorted in the end. The views from the accommodation out over lake Wakatipu are beautiful, the location is convenient with everything in central Queenstown within walking distance.
I stayed there for 2 nights in Feb 2025 and I was very pleasantly surprised. It's probably the cleanest shared bathrooms I've been to cleaner than mine for sure. I loved their concept, my room had a sink and mirror and there were bathrooms spread all over, some just had toilets, others had a lockable toilet with shower and very modern. The only reasons I gave it a 4 star is because the walls between rooms were badly soundproof and the bag storage system could do with some improvement like bag tags and some supervision as anybody could grab whatever bag they felt like and walk away. I would definitely stay there again, easy. Highly recommend it.
Location was absolutely perfect, just a few minutes walk to the city center. Room had a beautiful view of the mountains and the gondola. Shared bathroom was clean and modern. Common room was perfect with TV and basic cooking facilities. Parking on site and staff were super friendly.Would stay here again
