Went for an conference rather than to stay. Food was great. Function rooms were great with good media, sound etc. Found it strange that no seating was provided for lunch. Literally hundreds of people sitting on the floor or trying to balance plates standing up. Apart from that, everything was great. All the staff were friendly, Rooms were clean, facilities were modern.
Since the refurbishment the hotel has really stepped it up! Every staff member is so friendly and welcoming, the rooms are spacious, clean and modern. Location is a little bit out of the city but this is a good thing as when staying too central you don't feel as safe as you do on Adelaide terrace.nIt's a great location for walks, restaurants and so convenient to the buses.
Good things, Hotel is in a good location, room and staff were pretty nice. Bad things, rooms didn’t have soft close doors so could hear banging all day/night also large gaps under door, not a very quiet room. I Also was double charged for my stay an extra 700$, staff were apologetic and nice enough I was told it would take up to 10 business days for a refund. Which could have ruined my partners and my staycation if I didn’t have extra disposable cash. I felt they could have offered a complimentary breakfast or something for the inconvenience.
Although I’m not a fan of high rise hotels and I don’t like using lifts this hotel was an oasis of calm in a busy, hot city during a stressful time on holiday. My husband was suddenly admitted to the nearby hospital for several days at the beginning of our stay and the hotel could not have been more helpful and supportive to both of us. From taking us to A&E in the middle of the night, asking about his welfare and even escorting me in the lift the staff did everything they could to help. Special thanks go to Maarja-Liis on reception and the two concierges Ashek and Pulasthi. As far as the hotel is concerned it is v. modern with up to date rooms and plenty of communal seating areas and restaurants. The breakfast was varied and of high quality and the staff attentive as they were everywhere. We only tried the lounge bar once which was good but I enjoyed the excellent room service on many evenings. The location of the hotel was v. convenient as it is in the centre and a short walk to the river. The only downside was the pool which was very small and too warm. It also only got sun for a couple of hours in the morning as was shaded by high rise buildings. Although our stay at the hotel did not go as planned I will always remember it and wish to thank the staff for all they did.
After looking for places to stay I decided to make a reservation here for convenience instead of regular self catering, we might not have the opportunity again. I looked online and after joining the group my stay worked put cheaper than advertised promotions by third parties. I got updated on my reservation regularly. When I arrived early they were eager to give me an early check in. Staff very friendly and room is great with a river view .nRestaurants, bars and heated outdoor pool on Lower level.nGym on level below.nParking is at a reasonable price as there are no free street parking
