Location was fantastic. We took public transport/walked everywhere including from the airport. Great food options around.nnWe weren't able to check in early but we did have a tea in the arrivals lounge which was nice.nnHad a few conversations with other guests regarding how slow the elevators were. I found myself mentally adding a buffer for how long the elevator would take to arrive.nnI would stay again. I liked the room - it had a good layout. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite. Felt clean mostly, were some crumbs on the table and felt pretty modern and spacious. No clue if there was some trick to the curtains but it felt like a wrestling match every time I had to open and close them. Air-conditioning was very good. Washer and dryer worked well and I liked that washing liquid was provided. Kitchen seemed pretty well stocked regarding cooking utensils but we didn't end up using them, although I would have appreciated some milk.nnI liked the bed. It was a good plushness level without being too soft or firm. Pillows were nice as well and overall very spacious. There was only a powerpoint on one side of the bed, the other side had one on the opposite wall which was quite inconvenient. I honestly have no clue why all hotels don't have powerpoints in their bedside tables at this stage.nnThe bathroom was spacious and I thought the hairdryer was very good. I would have liked a small mirror at the desk to do my makeup.nnPool area and sauna was very nice, although the spa was very much on the cool side. Warm enough to be pleasant but not ideal if you were looking for some heat to relax muscles with.nnI had a few interactions with various staff members and I found them all delightful.
We just had the most wonderful week in Sydney is this amazing hotel. The location is superb. There is a side exit straight onto George Street with everything at your door. Facilities are awesome, we’d have a swim, sauna and spa every night. The rooms are great and beds super comfy - even the roller bed. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend staying here.
Meriton suites is simply the BEST hotel I stayed in so far!! We arrived in Sydney in the morning after a red eye flight. When we went to the hotel to put down our luggage , we were pleased that we were able to check in in the morning although the scheduled check in time was 3 o’clock. We were happy to have a place to rest after our flight.nWhen we went into our room we were impressed by the layout of the room. The kitchen provided us essential kitchen appliances.Although we did not have pans in the kitchen , the staff were happy to help us and offered us a rice cooker too. The beds really soft and provided us all the comfort we needed.In one of the rooms , there was even a en-suite bathroom with a bathtub. There was a balcony with a dining table that had a FANTASTIC view of the city especially when we were on the 53rd level. There was also a convenient food corner with Asian food stalls .nWe stayed there for 4 nights and greatly enjoyed our time there.
The room and location were great, the only negative thing we had was the elevators and check in.nGot to the hotel at 2:51pm only to be told to wait 10 minutes to check in but we could use visitor lounge, so take elevator to the lounge to wait 10 minutes but then trying to get an elevator back down ended up take 10-15 minutes anyway, get to front desk only to be told room still isn’t ready we have to wait another 10 minutes, are you serious!, so by the time we finally get to the room it was like 3:40pm. Trying to get an elevator to parking lot to get bags was a long wait as well because they checked everyone in at the same time so you had like 20 people all waiting for elevators
We stayed in a two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite, and it was perfect! The suite is spacious and has everything you need, including a full kitchen and a built-in laundry room. We couldn’t have asked for more. The location is also super convenient, making it easy to get around. Highly recommend!
