Staff were really lovely, friendly and professional. Even the doormen who kindly safe kept my Opal card that I had accidentally dropped on exit.nGreat breakfast buffet, convenient egg station. Good value.nVery happy with location, ramp access for luggage, cool inviting foyer with comfy lounges where my toddler napped on arrival.nNice comfy bed. Well cleaned bathroom. However carpet had a musty smell to it, which was off putting.nThe balcony tiles in room 501 were dirty and subsequently my two kids feet went black going barefoot on the tiles. Easy wash off in bath.nDisappointing that the hotel doesn't accept cash. My husband and I favor paying in cash. In 2025 it is legal tender- can't fathom how it can be rejected.
We had a great stay at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and the overall experience was very positive.nnA special mention to Shania, the duty manager, who handled an issue we had with exceptional professionalism. She was friendly, approachable, and efficient, took the time to listen, and ensured everything was resolved quickly. Her positive attitude and customer-focused approach really stood out.nnWe would happily stay here again. Thank you to Shania and the team for a great experience.
Just back from 2 night city break staying in the Amora. Excellent location. Right in CBD and close to Circular Quay. Just a great experience for us - from greeting to our departure. Friendly, courteous, and professional staff. Nice room - with all amenities. Comfortable bed. A couple of nice bars. Tasty bar food and room service. Impossible to fault. Thank you.
We stayed here for 1 night as our flights were cancelled and needed somewhere to stay until the follow days flight. It's a lovely hotel, staff are amazing, pool area is nice. The spa could use an update. Only negative was some loud lady in the bar tried to tell us we couldn't sit at a table as she wanted it for her tour group. There was no reserved sign so we still sat at the table, she was not a hotel staff member, just a rude loud arrogant lady. Other than that our stay was great.
We stayed at the Amora Hotel Jamison Sydney twice — at the beginning and end of our Australia trip — and both experiences were excellent. We were on the 7th floor both times different rooms, and both were very quiet. We slept really well; the beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were spacious and clean.nnThe location is fantastic, just a 10 to 15 minute walk to Circular Quay and the Opera House area. The only minor downside is that the MetCentre shopping mall next door which includes Woolworths and several shops and restaurants is closed on weekends and holidays. We happened to stay mostly over a weekend and on Labor Day Monday. Many of the businesses in this area were closed on the weekend. With the MetCentre closed, we also couldn’t access Wynyard Station directly through it, which meant walking around the block — not a big deal, but worth noting.nnService was great. The staff even let us stow away a small bag after our first stay, which we were able to pick up on our return. That was incredibly helpful and saved us from carrying it around during our travels around Australia.nnOverall, the hotel itself was wonderful — clean, quiet, comfortable, and well-run. We’d definitely stay here again!
