57 Hotel is a haven for boutique hotel lovers. 57 is recognisable for its 92 rooms styled under the design influence of New York’s famous Studio 54 nightclub which was prominent in the 1970s. Stayed here in July 2025 when I was my Melbourne Storm play at the nearby Allianz Stadium at Moore Park.nRooms are very spacious, with a very comfortable bed, that will guarantee a perfect night's sleep. The bathroom has plenty of natural light, especially if you get a room facing out Foveaux Street.nNearby activities are just metres away including plenty of cafes, pubs and restaurants. Transport options are close by and sporting and theatrical venues are within walking distance or use the nearby transport options.nSafety is quite good, as you are not near the hotspots such as the train station or nearby parks. However always exercise caution as you are in the big city of Sydney.nWalking is great however Foveaux Street and surrounding areas is well known for being hilly. If you enjoy walking and slight hills, you won't mind staying here.nFood and drinks options are plentiful, as Foveaux Street is well known for a variety of their dining options, whether you walk up towards Surry Hills or make your way down closer to the Central Station.nNoteworthy details, enjoy the complimentary coffee machine and small snacks in the foyer. It is such a welcoming treat from 57 Hotel.
Had such a lovely stay here! The reception staff were amazing - especially Arianne - so friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived.nIt was my birthday during my stay and they surprised me with a handwritten birthday card and chocolates to my room, which was such a thoughtful touch and completely made my day. Little things like that make such a difference. Thank you again!
Had a lovely stay at 57 Hotel. The location cannot be beat. Less than a 5 minute walk to central station, and in the lovely Surry Hills. Perfect for travelers who like a quieter/more local area to explore, with amazing food options and boutique shopping. Still a close train to CBD/Harbour when you want the action.nnThe staff was wonderfully accommodating. I had an issue with my original room, and their manager name starting with an A went above and beyond to get me a new upgraded room.nnOnly con was the doors don’t have bolts, which i would appreciate as a female traveler, but the hotel felt safe.
I recently stayed in a ‘Dancing Queen room’ and had a wonderful experience.nThe reception staff were exceptional, the bar on the top level is fantastic, and the rooms are very well appointed with a groovy fit-out, modern sleek touches, and a genuinely relaxing vibe.nDespite being in Darlinghurst and its fantastic central location, it was surprisingly quiet, which is thanks to being a brand new hotel. I plan to return every month when visiting the hospital across the road, as couldn’t want for anything else. I highly recommend this hotel. My breakfast at the Hotel, on its first day was delicious. The coffee was great and hot.nA wonderful stay. See you again soon.
Had a great four nights here. The room was spacious, with great light. The layout was fun and loved its design. Quirky bathroom setup too.nStaff were friendly and very accomodating to any requests I made.nSuper quiet at night and in a very central location for my needs.
