"We are a not for profit organisation which oversees a collection of over 500 electronic sound and musical machines and make them available to our members and the general public to use for their own creative projects. We teach people of all skill levels about the history and craft of electronic sound with a skew towards Australian stories and artists. We advocate for electronic sound and music in all it's forms and seek to create a welcoming environment so that people of all backgrounds and identities can play their part in expanding electronic sound culture, both here in Australia and internationally."

A must visit for anyone who loves synthesizers and electronic music. The place is literally stacked with every synth and drum machine imaginable. I had the joy of operating the Moog System 55 during my visit there, and blissed out for four hours diving deep into the monstrous instrument. Big shout out to Jacob for being so awesomely welcoming and helpful as well!
What a unique place! The hosts were amazing and knowledgable. I spent time chatting to each member of the team and asked questions about the gear that i was using and they were methodical in their explanation and kept the troubleshooting fun as it should be - it's not just about the destination but the journey too, right?. The selection of synths and effects is extensive and is all at your disposal to record and explore in your own time. I will be back to try out more gear when i am back in Melbourne. One suggestion is to ask the staff to recommend what to play as that was fun for me! I ended up playing a Bastl System which i didnt originally go in to play and really liked! I also played the Yamaha CS80, the Oberheim Two Voice, Verbos Modular and more! Thanks for having me MESS team and i will cherish my eurorack blank panel! Make some T-Shirts, Hoodies and Totes - i would rep with pride!
Super cool spot. Great concept, really well executed, run by friendly legends. No attitude. No snobbery. Just people frothing on unnecessary machines that sound great. Amazing gear.
I felt like I had died and gone to synth heaven. Amazing place, massive collection, super helpful people to help you make the most of your session.
An absolutely incredible place. Do an intro workshop with Mat, you won't regret it.
