I have been sent here to do a surgery, due to an accident at work, i have to say, the experience was amazing, everyone one was very kind and polite. If am correct was doctor Chu that did the operation, and today i saw how my cut is doing and looks like only a minor scratch! Feels very nice and looks even better.nRoom service is very quick and food was very good too…Thanks to everyone during my short stay!
Extremely disappointing experience at a private hospital that I expected far better from.nnFrom the moment I arrived, I felt more like a number in the system than a person receiving care. Despite arriving early 7:30am for a procedure that was abruptly rescheduled only a couple days before hand going from :10:30am to 7:30am I waited nearly the entire day including over 2 hours on a gurney before finally being taken to theatre. In total, I went nearly 18 hours without water. Communication was poor, and basic needs were clearly overlooked.nnThroughout my stay, I asked multiple staff members for a list of the medications I was given, a basic and reasonable request, but was ignored each time. I never saw the doctor in the operating room, and only had two extremely brief interactions with him across my entire stay.nnThe food was terrible. Cold, flavorless dinner Cheeseburger and Fries that took over 1.5 hours to arrive. The delivery person didn’t even acknowledge me - drop and run. Had this been a restaurant, I would have sent everything back.nnWhile some staff were reasonably attentive, only one person truly stood out: Nurse Aisling. She showed genuine care and empathyntreating me like a human being, not just a patient to process. Her compassion was the only part of my experience that resembled quality healthcare.nnUnfortunately, this stay has left me with no confidence in Hollywood Private Hospital. I will be sharing my experience with my doctor, my insurance provider, and others publicly so they can make more informed decisions. I will not be returning and will request alternative hospital arrangements if ever needed again.nnUPDATE - RESPONSE TO RESPONSE FROM THE OWNER:nWe received an online survey and Lisa, Patient Experience Coordinator, reached out to which we provided more in-depth feedback.
Previous years , this hospital was great.nOn a stay for my husband just discharged recently he was sent home with his medication and we received an email with his medication list.nThere was an unopened box of antibiotics which weren't on the list so I elected to not give to him.n3 days later I could see his uti had come back , so I tried to ring the 24 hour number on the card I was given for his ward if I had any questions. The phone just rang out twice so I elected to give him the antibiotic.nAfter what we have been through with this illness I feel so lonely and afraid.nI feel no one really cares.nThe nurses were lovely but it's hard to understand some of their accents and its really embarrassing having to ask 3 or 4 times what they are saying.nI guess there's more foreign workers here now as they've sacked previous workers from not getting the covid jab.
Highly Dissatisfied Experience at Hollywood Private Hospital, PerthnI recently had a procedure at Hollywood Private Hospital and was deeply dissatisfied with the overall experience, particularly the lack of communication and unprofessional behaviour from several staff members.nFrom the moment of admission, the reception staff were unwelcoming and displayed a poor attitude when I asked reasonable questions. This set a negative tone from the start.nThe lack of communication throughout my stay was a major concern. I was not notified, nor was my husband, when I was transferred to a shared room upon waking from my procedure, despite having paid extra as an uninsured patient for a private room due to specific personal issues. This disregard for my preferences and the failure to communicate caused significant distress during my recovery.nFurthermore, the attitude of some nursing staff was unacceptable. When in pain and feeling devastated, I was met with rudeness and a lack of compassion. One nurse explicitly stated that room issues were not their concern in an abrupt manner. While some aspects may have ultimately been handled, the entire experience was extremely upsetting. The sudden availability of a private room the next morning also raised questions about their allocation procedures.nA hospital stay is a vulnerable time, and the lack of support, transparency, and professional conduct from many staff members at Hollywood Private Hospital was truely disappointing……
From admission, procedure and recovery the team at Hollywood private hospital are exceptional. My experience with all staff, carers, nurses, physio, Drs are outstanding. Very professional, special people who are truely blessed, great individuals and team players. They are care professionals. Highly recommended. Thank you to my specialist.also, how lucky are we to have health system like ours.
