My whole experience at Perth Clinic has been very positive.nDr Jayne Stevenson is a kind and empathetic psychiatrist. The nurses have been attentive, genuine and helpful. The cleaners are on point and the kitchen staff are legends The food is deliciousnThe DBT primer course is so well run, OT Megan who is facilitating mine is down to earth, engaging and welcoming.

Receptionists are incompetent, canceling an appointment after a 4 month waiting list where I had to drive 4 hours so had accommodation booked due to no psychiatrist where I live.nDr James hickey just likes to give out excessive amounts of stimulants to junkies. Useless when it comes to mental health like PTSD or people on the spectrum.nDefinitely wouldn't suggest if you actually need help but would if you just want drugs.nHe's just a glorified drug dealer. Useless

I cannot speak highly enough of this place. I was so so nervous when I went in last year. I was an absolute mess. I'm usually mentally very strong but I was dealing with a bunch of things at once and unresolved trauma had popped up its head. They were very reassuring, it took a few days to settle in but once I did  it was amazing. The therapy and the classes were world class, they teach in depth on dealing with trauma, stress, and encourage you to use medication initially but then to learn lifestyle changes and stress management techniques to move beyond needing it. It was very practical combined with great food and good follow up support as needed. Wonderful place.nnA few tipsnn1. If you go in looking for them to magically fix it, you'll leave disappointed. I used it in combination with neurofeedback & psychotherapy. But if you go in ready to take responsibility to manage your mental health and overcome it, it's the place.nn2. I did a few courses and DBT is far and away the best program from my experience. CBT with Natalie was useful but the DBT program is amazing. It teaches you how to manage mental health by practical stuff using your body, better mindfulness and emotional awareness, and various other things.nn3. There is a health insurer once in a lifetime waiver mandated by governmenta which makes it very affordable if money is an issue.nn6 months later I'm now a whole new man. Thank you!

I've been to this clinic 3 times and each time has been different for me. The only time I've actually left better than I arrived was what I chose to be an in patents for the DBT course. But once you get put in that too hard basket with declining mental heath, it's basically time for you to go.  Felt unheard and unsupported the worse my mental health actually got. Yes I achieved soberiety, but the mental roller-coaster I suffered after  and expressed daily it was a struggle was basically too hard to sort out...got home today feeling much worse and quite frankly scared of my own mind.

This wonderful haven saved me... So too did all the amazing in-patients that went on a wild journey with me. We laughed, cried, laughed and laughed even more. The therapy sessions are really great and I recommend the evening relaxation .. amazing.  Too anyone thinking of taking those first steps then this place is honestly the best. Nurses are wonderful.  The experience wouldn't have been what it was if I hadn't shared it with so many incredible people. You can never feel alone at Perth clinic, everyone has their own reasons for being there and it's JUST THAT which enables you to form these instant friendships and relationships with the other patients. Your in a place where suddenly you and everyone around you shares similar thoughts and feelings and you don't have to hide, a common feeling of trust and normalcy sweeps you over and you can finally just be you and not feel shame or hide like you normally would. Perth Clinic will always hold a special place in my heart and knowing it's there for if or whenever I might need it brings comfort to my journey of recovery. Dr Ong is also such an amazing Dr and I am extremely thankful to have him as my therapist. Thank you Perth clinic. P.s Don't know why this place has 3 stars it's definitely got to be the best clinic in Perth.
