I had a sensitive procedure scheduled in the urology day care unit the 21st July 26. Arrived at admissions just before 6am...stood in a long queue before the lights and door were activated. After being informed that my surgeon had my procedure down as #7, and a long wait before being called to the window.nCutting a long story short.... once being allocated to a seat with my name on and a plastic bag with theatre gown and more I then waited... waited... waited... waited & waited. Yes, not very positive, but here comes my comments... Kathy, a lovely empathetic registered nurse and many others which I can't mention made my extremely long wait bearable. They are assets to the medical profession. Thank you, Pete Reynolds
The staff in the Radiology department at the hospital are amazing. Very professional and efficient. More importantly, kind and patient with people who suffer from anxiety. Some people aren't lucky enough to have a family member or friend come along for support, and the kind hospital staff helps with that.
I had a very positive experience with the gastroscopy unit at Fremantle Hospital yesterday. Apart from the wait time, the nurses took excellent care of me, making me feel welcomed and comfortable both before and after the procedure. I never felt rushed, and the doctor took the time to listen to me and clearly explain everything. Thank you everyone who was involved in my care Tan.
Cannot fault any of the staff at Fremantle Hospital Day Admission Centre. Every nurse I met, porter staff, the anaesthetist and surgeon were all professional, caring, due-diligent and informative. For a Public Hospital it was a 10/10 experience.
Long waits and when you get in front of the medic only a 5 min chat with a new medic with no much experience student or recent graduate ? and a clear feeling of wanted you out asap to see the next person who surely is also tired of waiting. We should do better guys!
