Great staff got there priority’s right waited 3 hours in a empty waiting area. with a dry socket from my own smoking habit. At least those that needed it where seen first keep up the great work don’t let the Inpatients patients bring you down we all know there clowns
My wife was sent to emergency to confirm she was having a miscarriage, after hours of waiting the Dr was rude, had no idea about available options to bring forward the miscarriage to speed the process up and help her move on quicker, just a joke. No care, no respect and had zero ability to show a mother of 3, some compassion following the traumatic experience of just learning the baby inside her has stopped growing. Disgusting, and makes us consider moving our family away from the region and back to the city where medical staff are more educated and competent at their jobs.
Sitting in the waiting room for 4 hours, been seen twice, poor bloke behind me just wants some painkillers for his wisdom teeth that are infected, been sitting there for 7 hours, nurses don't wanna know him. People keep coming in and keep getting called in, somehow being triaged above him when they have sore arms and the like. I'm no triage nurse or doctor but it doesn't look good, and it's not the first time I've seen it. Something is clearly wrong with this place now, a few years back there wasn't any of this...
Presented patient at midnight with severe debilitating abdominal pain. Was seen at 4:30 am. Waiting room was completely empty for the last hour & a half. When finally seen was told to take Panadol & get more sleep! Was the only patient in the entire ER when seen. Had to drive half an hour home totally exhausted after being awake for almost 24hrs. They really need to reevaluate their priorities, the personal attitudes of their staff & their suitability for the roles they hold.
I went to the Emergency Dept due to chest pain & breathing issues. The Reception Staff were great & I was taken straight in & was attended to straight away. The Nurses I had attend to me "Wendy,Tracy & Christy" were excellent, friendly & helpful. The 4 Dr's who I saw also while their were also great.I was admitted over night & the attention I received I couldn't fault.Thankyou to you all for all you did for me as it's much appreciated.
Nearly 4 hours and counting, sitting in Emergency waiting with my 7 year old son covered in a hives-like rash with facial swelling that is worsening. I have asked twice now to please be seen soon as I'm worried about his swelling face. The first woman lied to me and told me she'd send someone in and never did and the next one said "he can still talk so he's ok" so you have to be unresponsive for this hospital to care. The staff are some of the rudest people I've ever come across and they genuinely do not care. Why be a nurse when you can't even manage to be nice to a small, sick child. Next time I'll drive to Rocky and try my luck there. It can't be any worse than this place.
5 Stars to the Day Clinic Doctors & staff. Very professional and friendly. We really appreciate your efforts and taking such good care of my husband.
Wait time is non sense. All public hospitals should rethink their process and bottlenecks. In the name of prioritisation I have been waiting for 5+hours for a simple 2 min work don’t ask me how I know it takes 2 mins
My 77 year old brother a chronic diabetic presented with all his skin burnt off one foot, his feet are numb, so could feel heat from concrete, a new Doctor said that's ok, you can go home, back the next day, terrible caring services.
I had nothing but trouble right from the very start with gladstone hospital while I was pregnant. I went into hospital at 6 weeks pregnant, I was sent to central radiology who said they could not locate any babies. The doctor told me I would need surgery to remove the babies as their location was unknown. I discharged myself. 5 days later I went to Imed radiology who told me I was pregnant with twins who were in the right location. The hospital missed Twins. I went in at 26 weeks pregnant as I had discharge. I was given 6 speculums and ultrasounds. One doctor said my cervix was long and closed one said i was dilated. This was at 8am in the morning on decemeber 10th 2021. That day I was put through 6 painful cervical checks, asked about my pregnancy history that they didn't check and sent for ultrasounds again at central radiology. Central radiology said my cervix was closed. After a woman doctor checked my cervix with her hand she said i was now 2cm dilated at 10am and wanted to send me to brisbane. The man doctor kept saying my cervix was closed and continued to do checks until 12am 11th dec. Central radiology had mesured a skin fold instead of my cervix. At midnight on December 11th i was sent to Brisbane hospital by plane. The male doctor at gladstone hospital had ruptured my membrane after 6 speculums and 3 hand cervical checks. My twins were born by emergency c section at 26+3. They spent 112 days in Brisbane Nicu and Picu. I told my social worker in brisbane my experience with gladstone hospital and the doctor. She has asked multiple doctors and surgeons at mothers maters hospital if his checks where in line and they all said it was likely he had ruptured the membrane. We put in a inquest into gladstone hospital and central radiology with the social worker. Gladstone maternity refused to answer any questions. My twins are now 7 months, one can not take a bottle and they are both on oxygen support. We need supplies often such as NG tubes which gladstone maternity refuse to supply which they are obligated my law. We will never go back to gladstone hospital and refuse to let them touch my twins.
