I recently visited this hospital as an overseas student and left feeling extremely frustrated and let down. Despite being in significant pain, I was only given painkillers, with no clear explanation of how I would be helped. Both my friend and I repeatedly asked how my condition would be addressed, but we were left waiting in pain for 30 to 45 minutes multiple times with no clear communication. The wait was unbearable, and I was just happy to leave by the end of it.nnThe doctor who treated me, Dr. Lisa, seemed very unsure and was unable to identify a diagnosis. After some time, she consulted the main doctor for guidance, which gave me the impression that she lacked the necessary experience and confidence to handle my case independently. Blood and urine tests were performed, but they didn’t treat the root cause of my pain or inform me about what was going on. It felt like they were simply guessing what might be wrong. No experienced doctor took over my case, and ultimately, I was left in pain with no resolution.nnAdding to the frustration, the whole hospital had a very strange vibe. The staff didn’t seem knowledgeable, experienced, or qualified enough to provide proper care. The service quality was extremely low, and it was clear to me that this hospital isn’t equipped to handle patients in distress. On top of all this, I was billed over $3,000 for this inadequate care. As an overseas student, this was an enormous financial burden for care that didn’t help me. To make matters worse, the hospital has been taking ages to send the bill to my insurance.nnI will never go back to this hospital again. Patients deserve prompt, competent attention, and my experience was far from that. I sincerely hope this hospital reevaluates its approach to patient care and ensures staff are properly trained and qualified moving forward.
Attended Nambour hospital Colonoscopy suite yesterday and felt compelled to leave a review that I don’t do very often. The care and treatment I received from every single health professional was absolutely outstanding. Everyone from reception to the nurses, anaesthetist, surgeon and after care nurses were all extremely professional, caring, kind and friendly.nI felt at ease and very well cared for. Sunny coast residents are very lucky to have such a high class professional health service and I am so grateful Thank you to all the staff at the suite and best wishes going forward!
I was taken to the Nambour ED on Sunday 5th January via ambulance paramedics were fantastic but can't remember names, sorry. The Dept was incredibly busy, to the point I was initially 'ranped', but I was seen asap. As a retired nurse I fully understand the pressures that come with the job. I cannot express my gratitude enough for the professionalism, efficiency and overall holistic care I received. To Jacquie, Kayla, Brody and Dr whose name I unfortunately missed, thank you so much for everything. It's staff like yourselves that make Nambour the preferred hospital on the coast.
Attended Nambour Hospital Orthopaedics Surgery. Absolutely first rate. All staff from admittance through to surgical team and recovery - FIRST RATE!
My son arrived here by ambulance 1am 14th jan with abdominal pain, vomiting, headaches, and rash and was in severe pain..nHe and I just want to say thank you to all the nurses and staff in emergency tonight especially the 2 that looked after for the night abd thecday shift my son and thank you to the ambulance staff also that picked him up from his 100 acre property.nHe was very presently surprised by all the staff were so friendly as he has been in hospital for so many years...nEven though they are all very overworked and understaffed on the night shift and have no help..nnHe usually hates hospitals. Even though there was a junky needing his fix and abusing the other staff as the protective services surrounded him trying to keep him in line, he felt safe and well looked after,nAnd he had to be transferred to SCU sugery works..nnWe both can't thank you lady's enough!!
