I really can't fault the care I got from everyone in this hospital. The doctors and nurses were professional, but also kind and compassionate in their dealings with me which was much appreciated because at the time I had no family or friends around.nI also want to mention the ancillary staff, the cleaners and those who served the meals. Everyone was cheery and greeted me as if they knew me.nA special mention to the lovely Gladys who came to clean my bathroom, when she found out that I had no family for Christmas she gave me the biggest, much needed, hug.nGreat everything at this hospital, thanks to everyone who shared their time with me while I was there. Yesterday 19th December, I had day surgery.nFrom the minute I walked and was greeted by a very bubbly receptionist.nOnce checked in, I was taken.upatairs, then to theatre. They were absolutely amazing. Whilst I was waiting, I was chatting with Dennis theatre nurse, he told me about a Tapas Bar in Mapleton that has the best Whisky Ice cream!nThe whole experience was just so easy and pleasant!nThank you all, from the bottom of my heart!
My Mum is currently in Selangor. While she is very happy with all the staff, we were both more than impressed with physiotherapist Beau. He was so caring and Mum really took to him. So much so, she requested to have Beau as her preferred Physiotherapist. Beau treated Mum with the utmost respect and compassion. I was there visiting when Beau first saw Mum and I was just as impressed as Mum was.
I had a simple day procedure on the 6th March 2023.nFirstly I want to comment on the noise the staff made on both the ward and the operating theatres.....it was a happy, laughing, jovial 'noise' that also involved the patients in a respectful way making them feel relaxed.nIt the staff were busy and stressed and I'm sure they were they NEVER showed this and I salute them all.nThank you one and all.
I went in to have my wisdom teeth removed. My admission time was 1:30pm, and I was told not to eat or drink past 7:15am. I overslept and missed my window to have something to eat which was no big deal at the time. Once I was admitted, I was told there was only one other person ahead of me and I wouldn’t be waiting too long. A man came in after me, I had already been waiting roughly half an hour at this point. I overheard the nurses discussing that I would be going next, but then changing their minds and allowing the man who had just arrived to go in first instead. No one communicated to me as to why this was. I ended up waiting over three hours it then being 4:30pm and I hadn’t eaten or had a drink since 11pm the previous night. Not once did anyone come in to check on me or explain why my surgery was pushed back. After my surgery, everyone was lovely and I couldn’t fault the staff, however I have to say I am extremely disappointed in the way things were handled beforehand. I understand nurses get busy, but I felt as though I had been forgotten about and I don’t think it would have been too much to ask for someone to come and see if I was okay throughout my unnecessary wait as I was becoming more anxious the longer I had to wait.
