Wonderful hospital. I went for surgery with Dr Smith. All went wonderfully well. The staff are beautiful. The best hospital stay I have ever had. So quiet and the food was great. Thankyou to all involved.
Dr Mamadigi the haematologist was amazing and I’d like to give Karen in reception a big shout out. With how the healthcare system is and a lot of people behind those phones who can be rude, Karen is amazing showing kindness, compassion and great customer service . :
The ER nurses at the Mater Hospital are such a lovely, warm and supportive bunch of humans with the most caring bedside manner. It’s actually my birthday today and although I was in immense pain, all of the nurses made me feel so special and took the time to wish me a happy birthday. Thank you for the hospitality and making my day a little brighter.
My partner was required to attend the Rockhampton Mater Day surgery. While it ended up being a lengthy process due to no one’s fault, the staff who looked after my partner throughout the process were absolutely wonderful. They made sure he was comfortable and at ease in every way possible. There was some banter and funny light-hearted conversation throughout. A big shout out and thank you to the staff at the Rockhampton Mater Day Surgery department. You are absolutely fabulous!
Cannot express my gratitude for this hospital. We rushed our little girl up to the Mater last night with a suspected stomach issue. After she was screaming in agony at home for 30+ minutes. The nurses and doctors were amazing, and so patient and caring. Our daughter rarely gets sick, so hospitals and doctors are quite scary for her. Despite her fear and screaming while getting her blood pressure and temp taken, the nurses were so attentive to her needs.nnAny hospital that can put a smile on a sore toddlers face is a great hospital in my eyes.nWe hope not to be back there soon, but we know our daughter is in safe hands if we do ever end up back at the Mater.nnShe really loves her new Mater teddies, and they slept with her all night.
