Budget Car and Truck Rental Melbourne Domestic Airport

I booked in advance and got the car without waiting long. Efficient service in claiming and returning the car. Remember to check carefully for scratches and damages not found on the rental form when collecting the car even if you are in a rush. We asked the staff to add items on our rental form for some scratches not found on the form. Luckily we did so because we were accused of making the scratches when we returned the car because they haven't got those defects on their system yet (only manually added on our form). I also recommend checking out rental ads in the inflight magazine. If you are lucky, you may find the current discount code suitable for your rental. This was what I did and I got $30 off when presenting it to the staff even though I did not have one when making the reservation.

Great service from Bihn. Warmly greeted and he took the time to show me out the door and direct me to where I needed to go. All with a great smile and personal service. Well done. Also well looked after whilst waiting for my vehicle to be bought around.

Truly awful service. It’ll be fun to see this business model disrupted badly. @Budget, would be good for your future to step up your game in terms of logistics and efficiency.

Had an awesome experience at pick up. Lovely woman at the baggage claim desk drew me 2 maps - one showing where to pick up and drop off and another one showing me the best route to my destination @ 10pm at night! Best service I have ever had when renting a car.

This has been the worst experience I have ever had with car rental company. Poor customer service when picking up the car and the service officer looked like he couldn't be bothered serving, didn't bother telling me about the charges that I was up for. Only interested in pressuring me to buy insurance through them. I rang and asked for the manager to contact me and I'm stilling waiting 3 weeks later. The bond that was taken out immediately, I am still waiting for the return. Been trying to get through on the phone for 3 days now and still not luck.. Waiting 30min at a time.. Never ever again will I use Budget, please people go with company's you know and stick with them. Cheap service ends up costing you a whole lot more. Shame
