We booked and got picked up from the shuttle bus from the airport.  The driver was friendly and very informative.  He took us to the office were the elder lady behind the counter was very rude and refused to make eye contact.  The poor staff member that needed assistance was struggling and this lady made no attempt to help.  Thank goodness someone else came and served us after about 45min wait (having two young kids this 45min was very painful)  We received our car and left.  When dropping off the car it was once again another 30-45min wait to get served and that same rude lady was there again.  We eventually got served by a lovely young gentleman.  Basically my complaint is the waiting time and that the older lady needs to move on from this role if she is unhappy, and that people see her manner as rude. She needs to pull her head in whilst she is in front of customers.

Great deals on car hire in most cities.
Melbourne is always a good location for me to pick up and drop off.
Rates are excellent.

Well the car we hired didn't break down so that's a good start! We did quite a few miles in it 4 adults all loaded up with camping gear and managed to fit us all quite comfortably pretty good daily hire fee too all in all pretty good

This is  the worst rental company I've ever experienced.  I was hit from behind by a reckless driver while driving on road.  The driver said he'd take full responsibility.  But Ace charged me A$2895.00 for the rear bumper damage. This is simply a rip-off to its customer.  If you are a foreigner, you cannot trust Ace on your behalf.

One of the worse car pick up experiences ever. I was the only one at counter and it still took them an hour to get the car. This is despite my booking being fully prepaid. No empathy from the staff. When it works for them, they say they are part of Hertz and when it doesnt, like they dont have the Melbourne pre paid toll tags that limit your toll for a day to $16, that Hertz has, they claim they are not Hertz. Plus they charge you $3.85 admin fee for e-tag of toll. Just ripping customers off and offering worse possible service.
