Poor Customer service.
There was an issue with payment from my company for a car, and Avis wanting my credit card which wasn't required. 
At the end both my company and my credit card were charged for the car. When questioned about it, Avis said they had no record of a payment from a company. After proving that this had happened, they then said the car was not returned. Which it had been. Through all this the service over the phone was rubbish. 
I recommend never hiring a car through Avis... ever.

Good service and don't try to mow you over with sales if you know what you want. In and out in a few minutes. And the lil mamacita working at the end counter, goodness gracious.

I am a regular business traveler . Picked up a car from Melbourne airport on 21st to 25th March 2018. At the time i am writing this , I have yet to return my car. Was charged the same rental amount 3 times on my credit card amounting to $3170 on 21st March . Called the customer service 2 times over 2 days including a mail to their customer service and there was no response. I will report this to my bank as unauthorized charge.  This is my second time renting from Avis and will avoid them like a plague in future.

Takes just as long to wait to hire a car as it does to fly from brisbane.  32 people waiting when i walked in with 4 Avis team members. Europcar next time for me.

The whole hire car thing needs a reboot. 45min to pick up a car. They know who I am, when I'm arriving all the details. Should be a 5 minute process for anyone with a reservation.
