Kawana is a lot better. The screen here feels small and crap. The seats are divided through the middle with a walkway/stairs meaning where ever you sit, you are either way more left or right, and if you sit on the end towards the middle, the staircase lighting distracts you from the movie and is annoying.nnA large popcorn and coke combo cost me almost $20 alone, which is actually insane.nnNever would I ever recommend this cinema unless it was a last resort. The movie I watched was good, though.
$25 per person for a movie ticket should be a crime. The food is also very expensive just for a small popcorn and drink. I went with my girlfriend and it was about $70 total. Otherwise the Venue itself is perfectly fine.
Waited 10+min for service tickets online and popcorn /drinks there was only two people behind the counter and one was making coffee male other was just standing there.nTwo people at the check ticket area were looking at us waiting and continued talking the whole time we were waiting.nWhen we eventually went through they had disappeared and no one was checkint tickets.nThis lead to 4 underage boys getting into the movies then having to be removed.nPretty poor effort on what should be a straight forward event.
The older staff I've had contact with at this venue are just painful. If life's getting you down, or you hate your job don't spread your misery at work. Try to be helpful. Especially if someone has a disability. I go to Kawana, better cinema better staff.
On an earlier visit this year to see Dune Part 2, the volume in cinema 1 was excessive. I’m usually fine with loud movies, loud music, etc, but this was too much. Tonight we watched Quiet Place Day One in cinema 5. The screen looked like our TV did when the toddlers had gotten to it with food all over their hands.nnAt $24 a ticket I expect a clean screen at the very least.
