On Sunday afternnon we watched the superb Nuremberg movie. $16 for a Senior member. Parking - now is only 2 hour free parking. Make sure you get your parking ticket validated when purchasing your movie ticket! Sound quality of cinema 4 was good, as was airconditioning. Seats comfortable.
Great cinema, comfortable chairs, quality sound, and picture.
Very comfortable seats. Good cinema with wider range of selection of movies, classic film festivals.nFree car park, but only for 2 hours. It's easy to get to with public transport. No point feeling nervous. since with long ads, the 2 hours may not be enough.
Been to James St multiple times before but had never once tried Barracks. I have no idea why that's the case, because this place rules so much!nnThis is by far the easiest and most accessible cinema to get to on public transport I've been to in Brisbane. Exit from Roma Street station, walk right, wait for ONE crossing, and then you're there. Not to mention the amount of solid food nearby if you need a quick bite!nnI strongly recommend buying the Movie Club membership for frequent cinema goers because the luxury of paying 15 bucks or less for a movie ticket nowadays is one that shouldn't be taken for granted at all.nnIf I had to complain about something, it's that the cinemas I've been to varied in quality in a bit of a shocking way. Cinema 6 is where I watched The Social Network and I was a bit disappointed by the projection, as it was notably dim and lacking contrast. It was one of the smaller cinemas on the top floor, but the bad projection was hard to get used to.nnCinema 4 pictured however was where I watched Spirited Away and it was an absolute perfect cinema experience. Beautiful projection, beautiful audio, and possibly the prettiest individual cinema I've seen in Brisbane. From my understanding, cinemas 1-4 have near identical design, seating and projection. If every one of my cinemagoing experiences was in a theatre that looked like that, I'd be a very happy man.nnWill be making a point to go here more often. Perfect for after-uni time!
Great cinema with very good movies, not the run of the mill. We have hearing difficulties so the manager kindly offered to turn up the sound for us, and chose good seats. We really appreciated their kindness and effort. We'll come again. It was especially quiet due to the concert at Suncorp stadium- good day for movie goers.
