Had never been to a Dendy cinema before but tickets, food and beverages were all very well priced. The cinemas and ticketing/bar area were all modern, clean and accomodating. Staff were friendly and overall it was a fantastic, fun experience. The seats weren’t the most comfortable especially for a long movie, and that’s the only reason I haven’t given it 5 stars. Location was great, no issues with parking, plenty of restaurants and gelato nearby.
The cinema rooms are incredibly spacious and are always clean. Whilst the ticket prices are rather high, the cost is worth it for such an outstanding experience. Also, the cinema always screens a wide variety of both mainstream and independent films making it, in my view, one of the best cinemas in Brisbane.
Very interesting place. You can enjoy yourself freely and fully. Easy access to car park .
So disappointed, we have been loyal patrons since the complex opened. A group of six can’t buy a coffee after a movie in the evening, even at 8pm. Plenty of staff at 8:30, 3 last night standing in the upstairs cafe but it’s closed. This has been the case for months. Looking forward to the opening of nearby theatres soon. We’ve asked hopefully weekly and been disappointed told they are waiting for some good movies to come.
Premium Lounge experience was poor for the following reasons: 1. Toilets are disgusting 2. Drinks were forgotten 3. Food served in reverse order to what was requested 4. Seats hadn't been cleaned - walked out with a melted chocolate stain hope it was chocolate! on my backside. Just not enough staff on to complete the basic tasks. Not sure I will be back - despite being a loyal customer from when it was opened.
BUYER BEWARE Whatever you do don’t book into a ‘premium’ theatre at any Dendy cinema. I made the huge mistake of doing it yesterday watching the new Avatar movie at Dendy Canberra and for the first 2 hours had the screen continuously blocked by the food & beverage wait staff and the ‘clunking’ of cutlery and crockery and glass wear. I was fortunate to see the 3rd hour of the movie without distractions but by then the whole ‘premium experience’ was certainly very disappointing and certainly NOT worth the $30 I paid for the ticket. Very disappointed.…and once I complained about it there was no refund or replacement ticket offered which is very poor service.
Not much parking. Not much seating if you are early for the show. Expensive even for seniors. Hope the cinema experience is worth the cost and distance we traveled. Toilet facilities not checked often enough to see that they have enough consumerbals. Maybe we picked a bad day
Small, but comfortable venue. Very clean and at low cost. Look up for Tuesday discounts and some other shows.
I love seeing movies here and I only had to pay $5 to renew my membership for another year. The staff are always friendly and the place has a lovely atmosphere.
Cinema is excellent, the meal in Premier Class was fried dry cardboard. Also the meal deal only came with champagne so I had to buy my alternative.
