The NEW Cineplex Deluxe Hawthorne is NOW OPEN across the road from our existing Hawthorne Cinemas

Story

CINEPLEX DELUXE HAWTHORNE is a new 61 seat fully licenced luxury cinema with a licenced street front bar/café. The bar/café is open to movie-goers as well as the general public 7 days per week.
Ticket prices are $14. Some morning sessions are at cheaper prices during the week - these are listed on the Cineplex website when they occur.
At the moment, our in-house liquor policy is to keep the auditorium as 18+ only, however we are looking at listing some sessions as fully open from time to time. We will be putting up a survey soon to gauge feedback on this and our new cinema in general.

Hawthorne cinemas is getting a bit old and the screen sizes, apart from the main cinema, are small but the prices a phenomenal. Great for families who don't want to fork out an arm and a leg to go to the movies. The addition of the deluxe cinemas also adds to an amazing experience if you are out on a date night. Prices for the deluxe are way below that of the Gold Class cinemas and they still gives you the same service. Food is definitely better priced and so are the drinks.

First visit to the Deluxe cinema yesterday and it was awesome! Cinema seating is fantastic and downstairs area welcoming and inviting, just the right amount of space and ambiance for the place. Ticket pricing was cheap and a fraction of the price of some places that offer the same, if not lesser, experience. As for the food, everything came out lovely! We ordered for the beginning of the session, came out promptly and on time. Had the nachos, pepperoni pizza and waffle fries, all excellent, we ate every bit! Would recommend and definitely coming back!!

Love the place. Very cheap ticket, nice experience and easy to find a park. Doesn’t seem to be a coffee shop there anymore but easy to access by crossing the road. Rooms are a bit dated and sound could be better but given price differential I’m not that fussed and will keep on coming here

Beautiful small and lay back cinema. This cinema has a real old school feel to it. Movies are always cheap and so is the candy bar. Can be very busy during the school holidays.

Nice place. Great service and cheap. Not sure if cinema 1 had air-conditioning or not but it was sweltering in there otherwise it was great.
