Terrible experience. Although it says collection at Gold Coast Airport, it is actually located more than 10 minutes away by car, and so you have to rely on a shuttle service, which took 40 minutes to arrive. As a result, it took almost an hour from the time we arrived at the airport to when we had the car. Then, we were told the last shuttle to return to the airport would leave at 3:30pm, despite our booking for the car until 5:30pm. We were told that we would need to pay an additional $50 to deliver the car to the airport. Firstly, this was not notified clearly at the time of the booking; secondly, the fine print says that the shuttle operates during business hours, and the advertised business hours are until 5:00pm. Easily the worst car rental experience I have ever had, and I will never return.
Awesome experience! We originally booked for a kia sportage but as it was getting serviced on the day of pick up we ended up getting upgraded to a rav 4. Very efficient process to get the keys for our car and they supplied and fitted a baby seat for us. Staff was very polite and there was also a shuttle to and from the airport! Will definitely book with them again
Excellent service, modern clean vehicles. I was upgraded to a larger SUV at no extra charge. Shuttle bus runs every half hour to and from the airport. Highly recommend Ace. Hassle free experience
Everything was fine with Ace Rental Gold Coast. However, they claim they are located inside Gold Coast Airport but actually located 4km away. Yes they have provided a free shuttle. If u are going to rent a car from Ace Rental, you have to allow extra 30 minutes for the waiting & traveling.
The car was brand new. Only 7000km on it. It was a hybrid Corolla, fuel efficient travelling 500+km on $44 of fuel. It was powerful and responsive. Very happy with the car quality.
Arrived to the airport and called Ace to know what we’re the instructions on getting our car. They said they were going to send one of there guys to pick us up. One long hour wasted of my time down the drain. I’m not a big fan to waste time and this was definitely a bummer that we wasted a whole hour of our time to wait for a 7 min ride to Ace rental. We called after 30 minutes passed and they said that he is on his way. Then right when we were about to call a cab to take us there instead the van guy finally shows up an hour later. Wasn’t apologetic at first and didn’t care to help with our bags to put into the van. He tried to have a conversation with us like nothing ever happened as if we were not bothered about the whole situation. He said something about one of the guys went home and there had to be some confusion. Idk but by the looks of previous reviews, it seems like this is an occurring issue. I try to be fair with this review because once we got there the lady at the desk was apologetic and got us a nice car for the 5 days we rented it for. I honestly feel like they should focus more on the timing with the van schedule when there customers arrive. Money is recoverable but time isn’t and I’m sure no body in this world would want to waste the time they have. Be mindful of people’s time and fix the issue with this van pick up. Then you’ll probably get better reviews.
The car was clean and service efficient. Read the terms and conditions before you book a car as they do not pick up the phone and if your flight arrives beyond the working hours, you have to make your way to the airport yourself from the rental company about 15min drive away.
Yea guys, you need to do something with shuttle service. It’s too far from airport. People assume that if it’s called Ace GC airport you at least can get there. Telling them at the counter that there is no shuttle to the airport is a bad surprise for everyone. Employees doing nothing to help here just saying go and take Uber. Easy advice: tell them at the time of the pickup and they will plan accordingly or better to take care about shuttle. P.s. nothing wrong with a car.
I have no words! Just don't use them! They cancelled our booking because our flight was delayed. I rang them to let them know we would have to pick the car up the next morning, the guy I spoke to didn't tell me our car would be cancelled!
