East Coast were brilliant as always. They make the whole process so easy. Efficient and quick! We absolutely loved the car we rented this time. It was perfect for us. The shuttle from the Gold Coast airport is also very easy. Thanks again East Coast!
Horrible service! Allow you to book a pickup when they are closed just to collect your money. They called me saying that they close 10 mins after we land and offered me 2 options, one to leave my toddler with my mum who doesn’t speak English with all the bags behind or collect the next morning. They also said that they will stay behind a bit to maybe wait for us. I wasn’t planning on doing either of those things. So we arrived at the shuttle at 6.20pm with of course no shuttle so we got a taxi $60, the next day they called me asking if I still need a car even though they already charged me for it so I told them I’ll come just after lunch, arrived at 12.15pm another $50 and wasted 40 mins waiting for a car because they gave it away because they were not sure if I show up and this was after I confirmed that I am collecting it. Service is just shocking with ladies showing attitude and making it sound like this is all my fault. Also they couldn’t be bothered installing baby seat at all, just because to probably prove another point that they are crap. Don’t waste your money on them. I had an excellent experience renting a Polestar 2 from East Coast Car Rentals, Gold Coast. The free shuttle service from the airport to the rental shop was very convenient. The directions to the shuttle stop and the link to track the shuttle was very helpful you recieve this on the day of your travel. The driver, Ben was already waiting at the stop to pick us up. Upon arriving at the shop, the friendly staff processed the paperwork quickly and we picked up the car in no time. The condition of the car was very good and it was amazing to drive. I am glad that the price was very competitive as well. Overall, it was a seamless and easy process from end to end and I found the experience better than large car rental companies like Hertz, Avis etc. I highly recommend East Coast Car rentals without hesitation.
Paul, the courtesy driver we had, was lovely, and his van was pristine. The depot is only 4km from the airport, so it's super quick to arrive. The car was ready, and the children's car seats were already installed, which helped with a seamless transition with tired kids. The only downside was the insurance was the same price as the car rental so be aware of that when booking. All in all a decent company that I would definitely go with again
Loved the airport shuttle both ways. Company was easy to deal with, shuttle driver very friendly, car was clean. Took me a while to learn the push button / brake keyless start. Built-in GPS was handy.
