Having recently booked a Van Hire with SIXT Gold Coast Airport, reading the reviews on here, I was nervous on arrival if we had a vehicle waiting for usAll my doubts went awayFrom the ease of picking up the keys, to directions where the van was located, I cannot fault the service. Everything was straight forward, and really excited when we were given the BIG LDV deliver 9 12 seater with plenty of space for a larger group. modern vehicle, plenty of room and very economical on gas being diesel. Communication prior to pickup and upon dropping off has been excellent. All previous damage noted on the contract. and best advice from the customer service agent to video around the van prior to leaving the airport, just incase any other damages had been missed. I will definitely be hiring a vehicle from SIXT in the future Thank you AAA+++ Regards Herawa
Wonderful service here - can’t praise the team at Sixt GoldCoast airport highly enough. We had no issues collecting our car on arrival, it was ready efficient pickup good website design for booking. Super friendly staff. But service was next level when virgin cancelled our return flight, busy by period, school holidays and shortages of cars everywhere, they went out of their way to work out another car for our unplanned additional 2 days . We were so grateful, service from these 2 young ladies was awesome- I’m sorry I didn’t get their names they deserve recognition.
Significantly cheaper than other rental companies, unlimited mileage even on premium cars and doesn’t need two credit cards. Would recommend
reasonable price but poor customer service at the counter. staffs at the counter are just too over lazy to greet customer. I was standing in front of one of the staff, she didn't even look at me which I felt like that staff is trying to ignore me. anyone want to hire a car in cheap price, SIXT would be a good idea but don't expect good customer service.
The scheduled flight for my friend and I have been cancelled. We were seeking assistance at Sixt counter to see if we could extend our rental and to drive back home. At first, the lady at the counter was firmly saying we could not and asking us to make a call to Sixt while we were at the Sixt counter. But then luckily we were able to meet Lana, who was willing to listen and aware that our booking was in a different situation. We ended up making our way home safely by extending the rental. Thank you so much!
Booked a large van and received a confirmation only to get another email 3 days later 2 days before needing the van to confirm a different incorrect sized van. After telling them what we actually booked/wanted they advised the vehicle wasn't available and they couldn't help with our booking. Won't get my future business.
I had a late arrival and had to select the last pickup time - 10:30 pm which also happens to be the closing time of Sixt rental. To make matters worse the flight got delayed by another 30 mins and there were further delays in getting out of the plane due to heavy rains. Inspite of all this the Sixt Airport team stayed for me and didn’t close shop. Plus I got a brand new RAV4 Hybrid. A sincere thanks to the Gold Coast Airport team for making my trip successful
Do NOT hire from this company ! I hired a car from Coolangatta airport and returned the the car prior to the time it should be returned. At no point I was told anything. There has been no communication since returning the car. However I noted SixT only refunded $300 instead of $400 they took as a deposit. As there was no communication at all I called Sixt and I was told they have charged me for an additional day as the keys were handed over after mid day - Which I totally deny. I also have proof photos taken at the Airport car park before 11am to show that the car was returned prior to agreed time of the day. I called SixT and I was told they would come back to be within 24 - 48 hours . Still there has been no communication from SixT at all .
Can’t recommend. Our flight was delayed *in the air* due to crazy wind from New Zealand. They marked us as a “no-show” and gave our car away. Now we are stuck in oz without a car. Will never be booking from them again or recommending to anyone.
Booking was easy enough, car was great, cost was as expected. Customer service was terrible. I’m hoping should we have to use SIXT again in the future that we have a better experience.
