The Old Vicarage Cafe, Restaurant & Bar

Called in for lunch without a booking and were offered a table wherever we fancied. Getting busier at this time of year and the atmosphere is lovely. We sat outside and our drinks order were taken and delivered quickly. We ordered the calamari for an entree- it took awhile to come out and the waitress apologised. It was worth the wait- seasoned well and lightly fried. Dad had the salmon which he loved and I got the venison fry which was delicious. Using the entertainment book also means you get one main course for free. Highly recommend. Great venue, parking, service and food :

Excellent - we came here for brekkie. Its a nice get away joint with ample seating. Staff were really really good. Food options were great and flavorful. Recommended go to and worth a drive getting there. Place is very well decorated for photography too.

Unfortunate food but very lovely environment.nI ordered roast pork but it was not roast it was a section of pork roll that had been deep fried or pan fried in both sides. So really oily throughout and not a roast flavour but a deep fried flavour. But it was advertised as a roast special on a Sunday. That's dodgy of advertising as roast and then frying it. Crackling was from a packet. And there was hardly any veges. One and a half small potatoes.nThe banana bread was burned under the cream. Black and hard burned. I don't think they are taking the food seriously.nAvocado on toast was fine and Caesar salads ok. Breads good.nAtmosphere is amazing. Lovely restoration and keeping most things period. Garden lovely. Staff fine.nDon't recommend eating here until they sort things out.
