SOHO Hotel Auckland

Loved my stay in SOHO! The room we stayed in was spacious, thoughtfully laid out, and very comfortable.nnWhat really made the stay special was the staff. Everyone I encountered both at the hotel and in the restaurant was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely helpful.nnOverall, I enjoyed my stay immensely and found myself wishing I had booked longer!! It’s the kind of hotel that leaves a lasting impression, and I would return again in a heartbeat.

We had a ~100 people wedding reception here, and the overall experience was wonderful. The guests also enjoyed the venue.nnPros:n-Budget friendlyn-Our buffet-style reception was thoughtfully arranged, with dining in the Tonga Room and food service in the Raki Room. Having both rooms allocated to us meant we enjoyed exclusive use of nearly half the level, which made the event feel private and very well managed.n-Throughout the process of wedding planning, SOHO's event coordinator is very friendly and responsive and helped us a lot to make things happen on the day.n-I enjoyed the food on the night. Guests feedback also said the same. However, we strongly suggest to have food tasting first for extra $ as we had to provide feedback to the chef prior to the wedding reception.nnCons:n-Food refill was a bit slow, I had feedback from multiple guests that they weren't able to try some of the food before the food was packed away. Feedback has since been provided to SOHO, hope they improve in the future :n-The newly built-in ceiling speakers are not reliable so we had to hire third party speakers from SOHO's audio visual partner at additional cost.nnOverall, everyone enjoyed the night. It is very memorable for me. Thank you SOHO for making my wedding reception a success!

1 Star – Terrible StaynnThis hotel might look fancy, but it’s basically a mud flap — shiny on top and rubbish underneath. First and last time I’ll ever stay here.nnI’ve travelled all over the world and honestly, this has to be one of the poorest hotels I’ve come across. Tried for ages to get the TV working just to watch a movie, but the system is so overcomplicated it’s pointless. A Top 10 camp ground has a better, easier setup than this place.nnWe went out for the day, came back, and housekeeping had taken the power key card — so the air-con was off. Great. After a hot day, we walked into a boiling, stuffy room that took forever to cool down. That was the final straw.nnEasily a 1-star from me. Wouldn’t recommend, wouldn’t return.nnP.S. Don’t bother replying with the same automated “we’re sorry for your experience” message you paste on every other bad review. I won’t be reading it.

Bed had dirty sheets.nHad issues with room.nMidnite, had sewage leaking thru the ceiling and when we advised reception.. we were asked what we would like them to do about it??nRude service. Then told us we were being aggressive.nWorst place we have ever stayed in. And then the location...nIn industrial area of mt roskil ‍nDont waste your time or hard earned money.nBetter off sleeping in your car at a mc Donald's drive thru.

Had a lovely experience at soho hotel Auckland! We spent around a week in Auckland and every night we were here! The rooms were wonderful but what stood out to me the most was the service. We had amazing service. Riya helped us out so much. She gave us great recommendations for places to go around Auckland. Booked a great excursion for us and was very kind and super insightful. When we come back we will definitely be coming here!
