I’m satisfied with the overall hotel service quality. Good: Nice clean room, 3 different size of pillows to choose from, teabags, kettle and nespresso coffee machine, mini fridge, and the other amenities provided in the room are good. Bad: Can’t open the window, no fresh air, fridge noise was loud so definitely need earplugs, low shower pressure. I haven’t tried breakfast or dinner at hotel restaurant but there are some nice restaurants and cafes located in New Regent street which is just a minute away from the hotel.
Bed was very comfortable, check in was polite and easy enough. $35 valet parking that was not included was less than ideal. I don't think one should have to worry about parking as an after thought at a nice hotel after a long day of travelling. It was a nice stay, but maybe not worth the $225 total for one night. I don't regret it but I might not go for it again. Thus, 4/5.
Great location, comfy bed and good service/staff in the bar, but that was not enough to compensate for the small room with weird window/balcony, lukewarm at best showers, towels not being left in our room one day after it was serviced and we couldn't even contact housekeeping.....cos the phone didn't work!! Restaurant service was average - the staff were disinterested and untrained and the cooked buffet breakfast was barely warm. We won't be back.
My partner and I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. We booked a deluxe room and we were not disappointed. The room was very spacious, with a king-sized bed, a sofa, a desk, and a large wardrobe. The bathroom was also huge, with a jacuzzi tub, a separate shower, and two sinks. We were impressed by the amenities provided in the room, such as a coffee maker, an ironing board, and a Dyson hairdryer. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. We had plenty of pillows and towels to choose from. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and courteous. They greeted us warmly when we checked in and gave us some useful information about the nearby restaurants and attractions. They were always available to answer our questions or requests. The hotel had some nice facilities as well. We were on the fifth floor which had access to the gym and some extra toilets and showers. The gym was well-equipped with various machines and weights. The toilets and showers were clean and convenient. We found out that there was some free parking outside the city center which was only a 10-minute walk from the hotel. There was also free 5-minute parking in front of the hotel if we needed to drop off or pick up something. Overall, we had an amazing time at this hotel and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and luxurious place to stay.
A bit of a mixed review. Seems like a very clean and tidy hotel, the room is nice at first glance but the shower is not cleaned properly, there is mould in every corner and around the joins for the shower door. The body wash/shampoo they provide is very difficult to dispense, luckily I had brought my own. Instead of a information booklet there is a QR code displayed on the TV but this goes to a blank webpage stating “no content available”, there is also quite a bit of noise coming from the corridor whenever people come and go. I presumed parking was included in the price but I was wrong, the woman at reception said they had valet parking for $35 per night or there were Wilson public car parks available either side of the hotel, when asked if there are many break ins the receptionist said there were break ins quite often. The staff were helpful enough although quite cold, but they were courteous enough so allow us to check in early which was definitely a bonus. We did not try the restaurant so unsure what the food is like. The TV issue may have been able to be fixed if I had contacted staff but we spent a lot of time out of the hotel so didn’t bother. Probably wouldn’t stay here again, just seems a bit hit or miss
Very good location. The room is very tiny and not very comfortable. The fridge and the air conditioner were very noisy during the night. The shower pressure was very good but the water is not warm enough in winter. I would not stay there again. Rooms: Very small
Great hotel located right in the CBD, despite being located around a number of restaurants there was no street noise at all, staff were extremely helpful especially considering I had a number of suitcases with me and room was great with an awesome view to match.Rooms: 5/5
. Went with the fable love story package for my partners birthday and we were extremely disappointed.I upgraded the package to a balcony room only to discover that there was no balcony furniture. The view was the only 5 star part of the room. Our meal was terrible and orders were completely wrong. So bad that we could not wait to get home and did not bother staying for breakfast Walkability: Close to town
Lovely little room. The room is clean and the Nespresso coffee machine is great! There’s a 24 hours laundry shop next to the hotel, very convenient! It’s closed to the central district. However, the breakfast is terrible.
Decent room size and comfortable bed! One of the most comfortable night I had in New Zealand! Fuss free and easy check in and out process as well. We also got a complimentary bottle of wine included in our booking. There are 2 options for parking - self parking at Wilson open space car park there are 2 car parks each beside the hotel and valet parking at the hotel. One cost $20 and another cost $35 and to be paid at the hotel upon check out. You could save some money if you download the app, Park Mate. I personally find it very easy to navigate the app and it's quite a cost effective way for parking.
