Heritage Christchurch

We were 4 women and had booked 2 x 2 bedroom apartments. On our arrival we learned one apartment was out of action due to an unexpected plumbing issue, and there wasn't another one. We were extremely disappointed to find all we could be offered instead was a single room, plus a roll away bed. However, once the manager was called by reception to address our concerns, our situation was dealt with sensitively, with a willing flexibility, and some compromise on both sides, resulting in a satisfactory solution. Thank-you Simon. The hotel itself is a gem, with a beautifully preserved interior which has been kept in the original style while being subtly kept up to speed with modern comfort requirements. A great sense of spaciousness, including the very large rooms with their kitchenettes and dining/seating areas. Due to the kitchen being under renovation, our breakfasts were provided at the neighboring Distinction Hotel, the selection and quality of this was excellent. For location, service, and atmosphere this hotel was very well priced. I thoroughly recommend it.

We chose this hotel for the experience of staying in a grand old building..and it didn't disappoint. Superb main staircase. The 2bdrm apartment we had was just that, an apartment with mezzanine bedrooms, 2 bathrooms & plenty of space for 4 people. We heard no other guest noise, although the hotel was full. Comfy bed & great shower. Great value in a top location. Thankyou for a great hotel experience.

Beautiful old building. The public internet is hopeless. Single beds are too high for short people and the wheels on the beds need brakes on them! Chasing the beds all over the room. Quite dangerous first someone with bad knees. Did enjoy our dinner and cocktails Rooms: Stairs a bit hard to navigate

I absolutely love this hotel. The staff were extremely kind and professional in their dealings. Thanks Sheila for the recommendation to have breakfast in the nearby Main Library - absolutely excellent! It's a beautiful old building, which was a pleasure to stay in. Our room was lovely and well appointed. For what we received, the cost of the stay was extremely reasonable I understand that retrofitting air-conditioning into an historic building is extremely difficult, but even in its absence I'd still give the hotel a Five-Star rating. This hotel did not let me down. Have stayed a few times and the staff are always friendly, the rooms clean and spacious and I love the old time feel to the rooms while not being tired. Price is great too. A special mention to Pawan who went out of his way to look after me. Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms: I stayed in the old part of the hotel which I love with . a great view over the atrium. I love that the hotel has kept these rooms feeling original while they have been refurbished. They are roomy and seem even more spacious thanks to the high ceilings.

Rooms were clean but dated. Rooms are very hot if it is warm out.Rooms: 3/5

Such a beautiful building inside and out. Sadly that's all I can really say. The Heritage duty manager on that day was extremely blunt and rude and refused to help me with information or directions 0/10 people skills. The room was nice, large and tidy sadly the bedding smelt very stale and a few of the bathroom floor tiles were loose. Again such a beautiful building, convenient location.

Four years of bad reviews about no ac spent the night awake in there unbearable hot hotel lucky the night staff are legends sucked that I had to drive 5 hours the next day Racheal N you should be ashamed I know that your manager got some portal ac on the way but you have drop the ball.Rooms: 1/5
