Ibis Rotorua

Nice hotel with modern, clean rooms. Staff was friendly and helpful. I loved the free washer & dryer available 24/7. Centrally located and affiliated with Atlas restaurant which had the best breakfast buffet I have experienced so far in my 3-week stay in New Zealand. I am surprised that our tour company included such a nice hotel as a place to stay for 2 days. Stay here and you won’t be disappointed.

Stayed 2 nights on a tour. This is a great 3 star option. Although initially our room key card didn't work, this was swiftly rectified by the staff. Room has the expected amenities, but best of all: shower pressure is good and they have king sheet length towels that are thick and fluffy. Location is great as is only 1 block from Eat Street, and 1 block from a small geothermal lake/pond. Laundry room has 2x washers and 2x dryers, both complimentary! Umbrellas are also available for the unpredictable weather. Great stuff

Stayed on the top floor with a view of the lake. The view was beautiful. Checking in was easy and quick. Free sheltered parking at the hotel is great. Bed was comfy. Room was spacious. Location is super convenient. Loved how the TV had so many movie channels. Worth the cheaper price. Shower was tiny though.Rooms: 4/5

Handy location to city and eating places. Has shared amenities with the next door Novatel so gym and pool etc can be used with a 2 min walk away. Rooms are basic, clean, a little run down but functional with the usual tea coffee ironing board hairdryer and soap etc. A good thing is the soap and shampoo etc is a dispenser type so better for the environment. I used to wonder what happens to all the soap bars you use once and then housekeeping replace everyday...

A pretty good place for the price. Room was good but bathroom could use some improvement. Location was very convenient. Easy to find and walking distance to lake and lots of restaurants. Service was friendly.Rooms: 3/5

Had a fast check in experience unlike some other reviewers. Reception had two efficient and friendly staff handling a fair number of guests. Room was as expected - no complaints. Location is superb.

Spent 3 lovely nights here. Bed was super comfy snd shower steamy hot. Appreciated the air-conditioning. Housekeeping did a fabulous job. Will stay here again.Rooms: 5/5

Poor customer service. Check in time got moved to 5.30pm. Received 3 drink vouchers for a bar for a different hotel for the delay. No towels in the room. Called reception almost 9 times,no one answered . Room was so dirty look under the bed at your own risk. The bed was on wheels - it kept moving. It was the worst. The duvet was covered with sheets not even a duvet cover you could see how dirty the duvet was. Save your money- go else where.

Run down, dirty, poor service. Shower reminds me of my first flat when I was young. Ordered room service, took forever to turn up and the nachos were just jammed into a small polystyrene container. I’ve been on school camps with more class than this. Will definitely not be staying again.
