Empire Apartments

Me and my cousin had booked a room for a week. We only ended up staying here for 1 night as say we felt unsafe is an understatement.nnFirst of all the elevater is quite damaged to say the least plus hallways smelt bad and looked dirty. Now the room is where the fun begins. The door to our room didn't lock. So literally anyone could walk in if they wanted to. The floor and walls were also dirty. The kitchen was broken/falling apart. The picures online are very deceiving.nnAt night we cause hear noises footsteps coming from above us and sounds like scraching in the walls We were on the top floor with no roof access and at the end of the corridor with no neighbours on either side.

Overall you get what you pay for.nDoesn’t have free wifi, plus asking for a deposit upon checking in which was heavily unexpected.nVery close to everything and staff are friendly, just a shame the room themselves are very low quality plus some amenities not working such as outlets, and extractor fan in one bathroom.

I think this place is very good, the triple room is quite large, and in the room can see the sea, very beautiful scenery. The staff is also very responsible and willing to help solve problems, although sometimes there is a queue in the lobby. The price is also very cheap, very cost-effective. That's pretty good for the same price. My friends and I have been living there for six or seven months. If you study at the University of Auckland, this is very convenient, as you can get to any building within 15 minutes.

Worst place possible.nIt's cheap and the location is good, but people broke into my apartment and stole my watch, my wife's gold chain and some of my sneakers.nOnce one of the employees entered our apartment without our permission while my wife was there, I complained about this and they never responded.nnThey do not record rent payments currently and then try to charge us rent incorrectly.nThey take advantage of people who are immigrants and don't speak English well.nnthe place is rubbish, dirty, the walls of the corridors have faded paint. the floor in the hallway hadn't been cleaned for months, it was stained and stinking. We complained and didn't resolve it.nnsome of the staff are arrogant and incompetent.nnI hate this place, run away from it.

This place is really convenient, close to CBD. I won't say it's the top of the best, but it certainly worth the price.nThe staffs here always friendly, helping me full heartedly.nI'm a careless man who always forget my keys inside the room, but David, Lita, and Queenie they always help me open the door, I want to say thank you to themnWish you all a great day
