We met at Aotea Square to do a Clue NZ Challenge that began at the Square. It was clean and tidy and a pleasure to be here. Another occasion was for a Latin Culture Festival which was well planned out and safe for everyone including families. Seating/ bean bags and plenty of food stalls too. A fun and colourful event with music and audience participation- really welcoming and warm vibes. Loved being here! Highly recommend to locals/visitors to events held here!
Diwali Festival at Aotea SquarennMy husband and I attended Diwali Festival on 4/11/2023. We enjoyed their great performance like dancing and the great speech by our Prime Minister Christopher Luxon.nnThere were lots of food stalls along the street. My husband loved Samosa and vegetarian flour balls. For me, I liked Indian Turmeric Rice with potatoes.nnLots of people were there but we still enjoyed our time there.nnWe will definitely attend Diwali Festival again this year and we highly recommend you to join the upcoming Festival this year.nnOn another occasion, we attended Lunar New Year celebrations at Aotea Square yesterday, 25/2/2024.nnThere were a number of events happening, such las Karaoke Competition, Mahjong Playing, Street Dance Competitions etc.nnWe enjoyed mahjong games with a couple from Canada there.nnAt the meantime, there was a Rainbow Parade at Queen Street yesterday afternoon.nnWe highly recommend you to get there and enjoy Lunar New Year at Auckland next year.
Renovation of Town Hall building seems to end soon, outer construction shields are disassembled already, opening beautiful facades.nThis brings the square back towards it's normal look, but there is still some way to go though.
I Love aotea especially the view in the morning. I Love the peaceful place and very much relaxing temperature
An awesome place to relax expesially when they have their events go on for the public to get involved.
