Great people in a tiny store geared for island life, so, mostly eco-friendly stuff suitable for the island systems and small spaces. A good collection of novel foreign foods also, so easy shopping if you love exotic or a bit of home. Gluten free isle and organic options. Get in fast for the toilet paper though
Surprised to see a rather big branch on the island. It has everything you can find at a mainland branch with a higher price tag. I was very disappointed that I bought a pack of expired food.
Handy, good range. What about stocking more manufacturers from Waiheke, need to have a section as lots of visitors come to the store
good to find Countdown supermarket in Waiheke island, it has many varieties to choose from..my son enjoys the free fruit all the time, he always grabs banana.. we shopped some items for dinner, only that the prices in here are a little higher than the ones at Auckland..it has a basement parking, lift and ramp too..
Lovely man named liam smooched me on the lips after I scanned my onecard for my jasmine rice and rothman reds, lovely fellow. Will be coming back for more.
Price gouging because there's no other supermarket on the island. Staff are lovely and helpful, but the locals are being ripped off big time. Pity a New World wasn't there or a PacnSave.
Nothing on the shelves. Unprepared for the holidaymakers who pour onto our rock every year. Come on countdown! It's not rocket science...more people 40,000 visitors during silly seasonso YOU NEED to order around 5 times the norm. Then you'll have the goods to sell, which is, after all, what a supermarket is spose to do.
Not much stock to choose from, albeit during the Christmas period
The experience was good as usual. Everything we were looking for was in stock. As usual it was supposed to be for just a few items but turned into a $300 mega-shop. Loving the electric car charging stations recently installed at Countdown, Waiheke. It gives us another reason to do all our shopping there.
The owner obviously hasn’t stepped foot in here for a long time. Nothing on the shelves, the store is a mess and staff seem to be lacking any decent training.
