Nice store, not huge selection, has a fresh fish section fresh vegetables and fruit.nBut the fresh roast meat section of roast duck, soy sauce chicken, roast pork, roast red pork and pork ribs was piping hot and glistening .nTake away meals from $16, meat and ricenLook fwd to eating again
Good variety of Asian groceries and cheap fruit and veges. This is also a good source of the more exotic Asian ingredients that you cannot find in the International aisle of your local supermarket.nnThere is also a fish and butchery section here if you are wanting fresh meats and a mini restaurant that sells roasted meat meals if you're hankering for an Asian lunch.
This place was really popular back then...until this!nnFirst, most of their fruits are all rotten or bad! What is the point of buying fruit if it's rotten and can't be eaten? Vegetables change prices so often, for example, white turnip used to be 10.43 dollars...now it's 13.65??? It's changed it less then 3 days!nnSecond, their vouchers and gift cards are all fake! First of all, they give you a gift card saying to pay 30$ for your gift card that gives 20 percent discount. I bought it and used it for the first time and that backfired. I give it, the cashier says that it's fake....I say that I got this 5 days ago and your telling me it's fake? She's just like, no I know what I'm doing, if you don't pay right now, I will have you kicked out of this store. I am not sure if this is fixed because that happened 3 months ago and I was very stupid not escalating this situation fast enough!nnThird, staff are rude. Okay so the food is sometimes bad, gift cards are fake and now their staff is rude? For example, my sister was shopping for chips and those were up on the shelves. As you can know, my sister ain't tall enough so she asks the staff if she could help reach it. Instead of helping, the staff just laughs and says, what are you talking about? You can reach that! Stop being lazy! And then she just walks off. I come back with tofu and my sister tells me what happened. And I was just shocked of that attitude! I got it for her and later we see her again at the cashier and honestly? She looks like she was going to kill my sister! Every thing she swiped was with force and her face... don't even get me started. In the end, she said the paycheck so quietly I couldn't even hear! I asked again and she said louder in my ear! I just paid and took off with my sister. Before we left, the cashier even sneered saying that she could reach it after all. God how much did I want to punch her? And yes I did tell the other staff about this. And they just said yeah yeah we'll get it sorted. Don't worry. Now get going.....they sounded like they didn't even care! And that's when things took out of hand! Like making fun of someone because their a bit short, isn't doing the job your supposed to be doing! I want that worker fired for being this disrespectful to someone who is shopping at their store!!
I am writing this review to warn others about my experience here.nI have faced three major issues that make me feel completely disrespected as a customer.nn1. Poor Quality ControlnAbout a month ago, I bought a mango here that was rotten inside. I exchanged it, but the replacement was ALSO rotten. I had to visit three times just to get a refund. The process was exhausting and the staff were not helpful.nn2. Misleading Voucher PromotionnI shopped 10 times to earn a $30 voucher as promised. However, when I tried to use it at the counter, they gave ANOTHER six $5 vouchers that can only be used one at a time on purchases over $30. This felt like a deceptive 'bait and switch' tactic, not a genuine reward.nn3. Refusal of Valid VouchernI tried to use one of those $5 vouchers. I spent 59.14 see the receipt and handed the voucher TOGETHER with my cash $100. The cashier ignored the voucher, took my cash, and then refused to apply the discount. I was later told by Chinese bystander that cashier claimed I presented the voucher 'too late'. This is simply not true. I handed them simultaneously.nnGiven my previous complaints about the rotten mangos, I feel I am being unfairly treated and targeted. I have attached the receipt and the voucher terms to prove I was eligible for the discount.
Lots of Asian vegetables and goods. Bit pricy but value for money as you don't have to drive out of the city for these items. Shop need to be bit more clean
