Animal Referral Centre (ARC North)

We came in after hours a few nights ago with our little Moopoo in a bad way. The staff member at the front desk was quick to take action and brought our baby back to a room without hesitation, and sat us in a waiting room. The vet who came to see us and explain what was wrong was kind, compassionate and explained perfectly so that we could understand. She gave us all of our options and explained the ramifications of each one, and happily and comprehensively answered all the questions we had. The staff allowed us back into the treatment room to see our Moo and give him a few last kisses, and brought him into the waiting room so we could hold him whilst he was put to sleep. The vet made this process as painless as it possibly could be, explaining each step and what Moo was likely feeling at the time. Even after this process the care we received remained amazing and compassionate with staff allowing us to bring our baby home to give his brother the chance to say goodbye, and suggesting that she would let us settle the bill when we returned in the morning as opposed to on the spot. Even when we returned and decided not to cremate, the lady at the front desk completely understood and made the process as easy as possible. She still offered to store him overnight and have his paw print/fur clipping done, free of charge. Every member of staff we interacted with at your clinic played a role in making this most difficult time in our lives just a little bit easier, and I can’t thank them enough for that. Please extend these thanks and let the crew know that they’re doing amazing work and really do make an impact in people’s lives. It can’t be easy for them to deal with these situations day in and day out so to do it tirelessly and still with compassion and care is truly commendable, we cannnot recommend ARC enough. The team at ARC Albany are absolutely fantastic for emergency care.nThey asked great questions over the phone, in the early hours of the morning to determine if we should bring our dog in or not.nOnce we arrived, all staff handling our dog were gentle, kind and patient. Information about our dogs condition was explained thoroughly at a level that we could clearly understand.nWe were kept informed throughout, and received calls and updates at times that were promised.nThank you for all your kindness team, we were very worried about our Bella and your caring, informative approach made us feel that she was in the best place.

After 3 normal vet visits over 6 days, we ended up at ARC North at midnight on Sunday night very worried about our cat. He stayed for almost 2 days and was in the best place for the best diagnostics and care. He is normally a feisty boy and despite being unwell still managed to show his disapproval, but everyone was so lovely and kind to him and us. Rhea was amazing, keeping in touch and following up after he was discharged. He was very happy to be home and it was great to see him sleeping soundly again after being uncomfortable for so long.nThanks to everyone involved in Alvin's care while he was at ARC.

Cooper was rushed to the emergency due to diarrhea and vomiting, and we were extremely worried, almost to the point of tears. We are very grateful for the quick response from the reception and the doctor. The doctor was thoughtful and explained in detail what tests and treatments Cooper would undergo. Now, he has fully recovered! Cooper says thank you! we haven’t received the blood test results and the X-ray images. Will these be provided to us?

We first came to ARC in Feb when our usual vet found something abnormal in a routine checkup.nWe chose to go to ARC as we had heard good things from a friend and haven’t been disappointed. We have had a number of visits now and each time they make us and our dog feel super comfortable despite not always having a good outcome.nThe facilities are clean and all the staff are extremely friendly and professional.nOur doggos care at ARC will continue, but we just wanted to give others peace of mind if they are having to make the same decision of where to go that we did.nThanks guys xnJamie, Matt & Athena
