Animal Emergency at VSA

We've had the absolute best experience with VSA.nHad to bring in our dog twice for a suspected slipped disc, and ended up leaving him there the second time for IV fluids. He had a CT scan first thing in the morning; unfortunately he needed two spinal surgeries so he had to wait until the day after for proper planning, otherwise it would have been done straight after CT Scan while still under anaesthesia.nWe live far away so couldn't come for the scan results, but the surgeon took the time to show us the scans via a video call and made sure we understood what was happening and what needed to be done.nThey sent us frequent updates and were always highly professional.nThe surgery went extremely well and we were able to visit him the day after surgery. Thanks to their great care and our boys bravery and resilience, we were able to take our baby home just three days later.nThat whole event was really scary and exhausting for us, but we felt very supported and can honestly highly recommend them.n2x emergency visits, 4 nights stay, CT Scan, double surgery and meds was around 12k in total which is a lot, but we knew he had the highest quality care and that is definitely worth it for us.nnA huge thank you to the entire team who helped us - and most importantly, our good boy - get through this.

Had a positive experience. When i called Hannah was very informative and explained cost so i was well prepared,consult price is high and understand its after hours but i can see it be out of some peoples budget which is a shame. Dr Swee gave me many diagnoses and action to take at my usual vet which i did and meow has hyperthyroid issues. Great having cat waiting area and also offered hot drink by Hannah who has a very soft and gentle character. I listened to her with people on phone and when they came in and she has great people skills. Another small plus for me is automatic door,my local vet has door you have to physically turn knob and you have to put cat carrier down to open,its the little things that make the experience better.

I had such a great experience here last night. The lovely lady on the phone was so helpful and empathetic. When we arrived, we were seen so promptly and doctor Molly was fantastic with my cat. So delicate and caring, it was the most relaxed I’ve seen my cat at the vet ever. The place is very well kept, clean, and clearly well looked after.nnI’ll definitely be coming here for any after hours vet needs going forward.

I had a great experience needing advice over the phone to determine if my dog needed to be seen by a vet. The lady on the phone was amazing and she checked in with the vet a couple of times. They really made sure that they got all the information needed to provide the best advise. Very grateful!

We recently visited the 24-hour pet clinic, which was well-organized and reasonably priced for an out-of-hours service. The staff provided excellent service, and the care for our pet was very good. However, we did encounter an issue with a misdiagnosis, which unfortunately led to a waste of money. We ended up visiting another vet and eventually another 24-hour clinic, where the correct issue was diagnosed and treated.nnPlease don't take this the wrong way—misdiagnoses can happen, especially since pets can't communicate their symptoms directly. We just wanted to share our experience so others can keep this in mind.
