Take two on my previous review I’ve been receiving treatment at the 5 West Day Procedure Unit for almost 10 years. I’m a great patient for those nurses looking for someone with ‘Where’s Wally’ veins . The treatment I receive from the nurses to the admin team and everyone in between is exceptional. They can take me from a down day to riding high with happiness in next to no time. I’ve tried treatment elsewhere during Covid but was back the minute they opened the doors. It’s a long day once a month, but a great day …. Must be, it’s a nine hour day return trip just to see their smiling faces. Thanks for keeping me upright for almost 10 years and looking forward to many many more.
Just got back from RMH after going in for an emergency. Dr. Callum and Dr. Amelia were pleasant, compassionate and caring.nnThe wait in the ER was over 2 hrs, but the care and attention given by the team once inside were commendable.nnThank you so much.
Thank you to the Emergency Department – Royal Melbourne HospitalnMany people worry about long waiting times in Emergency Departments, but if you understanding the triage process helps explain how urgent cases are prioritised.nOn Sunday night, my daughter was admitted with an infection from an old wound. Although we were initially told the wait could be several hours, a nurse quickly noticed her heart rate was abnormally high and immediately called a doctor. Within minutes, she was taken into emergency care, given IV fluids, blood tests, and continuous monitoring. Nurses checked on her regularly and provided excellent care.nAll doctors, nurses, and support staff were kind, attentive, and professional. Special thanks to the males in diffirent room and female nurse on the night shift on 15 December for her exceptional care.nAfter 24 hours, my daughter was moved to observation, where staff continued to check on her needs and comfort.nWe are very grateful to the Emergency Department team and the staff on Level 3, South Wing, from 15–17 December. Thank you for your kindles , your patient and your dedication .
I’m giving my experience on 14 Jan at RMH 5 stars. Lucky enough to get a quiet waiting room, was seen quickly and from start to finish encountered the most delightful and helpful staff from check in, triage, assessment, treatment and discharge they were kind, professional and it was genuinely the best hospital experience I’ve encountered. I have also attended the royal women’s and outpatient at this hospital and again give them 5 stars.
I visited the ED on Thursday night as I was displaying appendicitis symptoms.nnI gave my details at triage and before I took a seat, I was seen by a triage nurse.nnI arrived at 11pm and was in ED by 12.30am.nnThe care the ED staff gave was amazing Brooke and Felice.nI was guided to have a CT scan, they came back with my diagnosis & admitted me to a bed.nnThe care on the ward, also was beautiful.nnI almost didn't call 000 because it wasn't life threatening, but I'm glad I did.nThere is so much care in the major hospital.
