Take two on my previous review I’ve been receiving treatment at the 5 West Day Procedure Unit for almost 10 years. I’m a great patient for those nurses looking for someone with ‘Where’s Wally’ veins . The treatment I receive from the nurses to the admin team and everyone in between is exceptional. They can take me from a down day to riding high with happiness in next to no time. I’ve tried treatment elsewhere during Covid but was back the minute they opened the doors. It’s a long day once a month, but a great day …. Must be, it’s a nine hour day return trip just to see their smiling faces. Thanks for keeping me upright for almost 10 years and looking forward to many many more.
The Royal Melbourne HospitalnI visited the Emergency Department at The Royal Melbourne Hospital in early April 2026 after my GP advised me to go to the hospital immediately with his referral letter. I was feeling extremely anxious and nervous, especially because I was experiencing a serious health concern and was far away from my family.nThe care I received from the emergency team was the best I have ever experienced in my life. From the moment I was admitted, the doctors, nurses, and staff treated me with outstanding professionalism, kindness, and compassion. They explained everything clearly, reassured me, and made me feel safe and genuinely cared for during a very stressful time.nnOn the same day, I was transferred to the Cardiac and Coronary Unit. The attention, kindness, and humanity shown by the team there gave me hope and strength. Their support helped me go through the necessary treatment smoothly and with confidence. The level of care, consideration, and compassion shown by the doctors and nurses was truly exceptional.nnThe Almighty is merciful. Doctors and healthcare professionals are always deeply respected because they save lives, give hope to patients and families, and stand beside people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Their dedication, humanity, compassion, and life-saving efforts make them incredibly important in this world. Beyond medical treatment, they inspire trust, courage, and strength through their knowledge, service, and sacrifices. Although doctors and nurses are human, their work often feels heroic because they bring healing, hope, and a new chance at life.nnI offer my heartfelt gratitude to all the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Cardiac and Coronary Unit at The Royal Melbourne Hospital for helping me recover. I am also deeply thankful to the entire Emergency Department team for their dedication, professionalism, and compassion. Thank you very much for everything.
I have been a patient on many occasions for almost two years. Having been admitted through ED each visit I have found all staff to be attentive and caring to my situation.nI have to give special thanks to the nurses and doctors of the urology department who have looked after me during this difficult time.nDuring the last two weeks I have been a patient with the hospital at home team and again was treated with the utmost care and respect by the most incredible nurses. They made a difficult time easier to cope with and recovery with greater peace of mind.nI will be forever grateful to the staff and doctors at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
To all the amazing wonderful staff of South Ward Level 3. Thank you for looking after my dad this week. Special thanks to B...a, A...l and C....e. The empathy, care, kindness was heart warming. It was sad to say goodbye to these beautiful people who were my 2nd family for the week and got my dad better. Bless you all, Nurses, Doctors, Students, Cleaners, Catering, support staff and any i have not mentioned. Im so grateful we have such an amazing hospital.. To our governments, you need to pay these people better. To the public, you need to treat these people with the utmost respect
I had an unforgettable experience at Royal Melbourne Hospital.nnI was admitted last Tuesday and discharged on May 1st after undergoing two operations in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department on my hand. As a chef, my hands are not just part of my job — they are my life. Facing surgery on my hand was something deeply emotional and frightening for me.nnFrom the very first moment, I was met with kindness, care, and genuine compassion.nnI would like to express my deepest gratitude to Dr. Rachel Zhang and her incredible team, including Julian Peters and Doran Kalmin, as well as the wonderful anaesthesia team. Their professionalism, calm approach, and human touch gave me confidence during one of the most stressful times of my life.nnA very special thank you to the nurses on South Ward Level 3, especially April. Your kindness, warm smiles, and constant support truly stayed with me. You didn’t just treat me as a patient — you treated me like family.nnThe care, sensitivity, and respect I received — especially knowing how important my hand is for my profession — meant more to me than words can express.nnI left the hospital not only healed, but deeply grateful.nnThank you all from the bottom of my heart. You are doing something truly special.nnBurhan Kurucu
