Hi Northpark Private,nnThis review is long overdue, and I truly wish I had written it sooner. I would love to express my sincere gratitude for the incredible care and service I received during my time at your hospital.nnI gave birth on the 15th of July 2025 via a planned C-section, and the entire experience was so memorable. There is one person in particular I would love to acknowledge — the staff member who held my phone and captured photos throughout the birth. At the time, I was overwhelmed with fear and adrenaline, but looking back at those photos while preparing for my baby’s first birthday, I felt so deeply touched. The attention to detail and the care taken to capture those precious moments meant more to me than words can express. That person was truly the right person for the job.nnIt was absolutely worth it, and whoever came up with the idea of allowing staff to capture these moments on the patient’s phone deserves real recognition.nnI also want to thank everyone who was present on the day — the doctors, anaesthetist, paediatrician, and midwives. Your professionalism and kindness made such a difference.nnFor those who may not know, even the small details stood out — like warming the baby’s clothes so that when my baby was born, they were immediately wrapped in warmth. That level of care is something I will never forget.nnOnce again, thank you to everyone who made this experience so special for me. If I ever have another baby, or if I know anyone who is expecting, I will definitely be recommending Northpark Private.

This review is a reflection of the state of the hospital. It’s run down and maintenance doesn’t seem to be routine. My room had a bathroom with mould and rust and a door that jammed and locked me in. The bed was uncomfortably hard and thin. It had the feel of an older nursing home. One of the stirrups in my birth suite wouldn’t lock in place and caused delays while I was in great pain. Someone had to hold the stirrup while I gave birth. The midwives were lovely which is the only reason this isn’t a one star review, but I would not give birth here again. I believe this hospital is suffering under the receivership of its parent company Healthscope, something I wished I’d known before committing to give birth here. It doesn’t seem to be covering its costs or upkeep. It’s certainly not what I pay private health insurance for.

I recently had surgery here and cannot recommend enough! The staff were very friendly and caring, the student nurse that helped me aswell was very kind and did an amazing job at looking after me. Everyone was lovely and did such a great job and if I ever need surgery again in the future I’ll be having it here, it was my first surgery and I had a great experience and the food was incredible and the room was nice and clean. Thank you Northpark

Here’s a strong and clear review how I was treated and how I feltnnnnnI had a very upsetting experience with midwife Anne after my C-section. Instead of providing care and support at such a vulnerable time, she treated me with complete insensitivity. Her attitude and behavior were extremely unkind and dismissive, which made me feel even more distressed while I was already in pain and recovering. She was so rude and unempathetic that she brought me to tears during one of the hardest times of my life.nnA midwife should be someone who offers compassion, reassurance, and care, but sadly Anne did the opposite. No new mother should be made to feel this way!!! And when you are spending 10000 $ !!!

I recently had a major operation, and unfortunately, my overall experience was quite disappointing. While two of the night nurses were genuinely lovely and caring, the rest of the staff seemed abrupt, lacking empathy and care, which is concerning given their role.nnDuring my six-day stay, basic needs were often overlooked. I had to rely on my sister to argue with the nurses just to get my bed sheets changed, which never happened until she intervened. The cleanliness of the room was also questionable —I had to request for the floors to be cleaned on day five, and throughout my stay, no one came to clean the toilet or room floor.nnTo add to the frustration, I wasn’t offered a shower at any point during the six days. It was only when my mum asked on the fifth day that I was finally assisted, and even then, the experience felt rushed and inadequate. The nurse used barely enough soap, and I was left with dirty bed sheets that weren’t changed.nnOverall, it wasn’t the standard of care you’d expect from a private hospital. The few positive interactions with some staff didn’t outweigh the lack of attention to essential needs. I believe better care could be found elsewhere, perhaps even at a public hospital!nnOh.. the photo… it’s been like that for 3 days. The nurses come in and keep throwing things in it. Are we in a 3rd world country? Seriously….!!!!nnAvoid if you can
