Been there twice, Specially admitted into ER; did not found much of the issues mentioned in reviews. Most of the staff did there job professionally.nPeople get too emotional and sensitive when they are sick when hospitalised but medical staff perform/follow their job SOPs.
I've been to the Northern Health Epping & Broadmeadows Hospitals several times. Every visited I had to the Northern has always been a delightful experience! All the doctors, nurses & receptionists are very friendly & helpful. The level of efficiency & professionalism is superb. The most accommodating health service around! Thank you Northern!
Although I couldn’t continue my care here due to being close to my due date and already having ongoing appointments, I had a wonderful experience with this hospital.nThe midwives were amazing, and the reception staff were always friendly and helpful. Every interaction made me feel comfortable and supported. I truly wish I could have continued my care here and highly recommend them to other expecting mothers.
I had a horrible experience with the triage staff at the TRIAGE Emergency Department AROUND 13:00 on 01/02/2026. The staff member was extremely rude and condescending towards both me and my boyfriend. I did not get her name, but she was Asian and had very thick eyelashes. I hope the hospital takes this review seriously and addresses this staff member’s behaviour, as no patient should be treated this way in an emergency departmentnWe stood in front of the triage desk for 5–6 minutes, waiting while she continued chatting with her co-worker. She clearly saw us waiting but kept talking instead of attending to patients. This is an emergency department, and I don’t think it’s appropriate to ignore patients who are clearly waiting for help.nnWhen we finally approached, my boyfriend nicely explained my situation — I had a CARBUNCLE located right under my eyebrow and very close to my eye, which should be considered serious. Her immediate response was, “It’s NOT A EMERGENCY . You can just go to a GP and they can do it for you.” She then DISMISSED it as just a PIMPLE and asked me have I been touched it as if It was my fault to make pimple bigger and worse .My boyfriend explained that it had been there for several days and was getting worse, but she simply repeated that I should go to a GP to have it drained.nThe issue is not only that she dismissed our concern, but she also MISDIAGNOSED my health/ skin issues . She insisted it was just a pimple and sent us away. If I had listened to her advice and ignored it, this could have become much more serious.nnWe had already tried to book appointments with different GPs, but none were available that day or even the next day, which is why we came to the hospital as a LAST RESORT. Despite this, she still turned us away without proper assessment.
