Attended emergency department on Saturday evening which led to overnight stay. From triage, admin, medical, nursing staff and orderlies everyone I encountered was professional, efficient and kind. Couldn’t have been better looked after. Special mention to Nurse Savannah, Nurse Karuna and Doctor Amy. They were exceptional people
Beautiful, caring and genuine nursing staff who are true professionals in everything they do. This is only my 2nd time staying in public hospitals and I could not fault a single thing. Funnily enough, staying in a private hospital before was the complete opposite!nnThe food here is very tasty and I couldn't believe how quiet it was in the wards including emergency on Friday and Saturday nights. We are truly blessed to be cared for by such extraordinary people!!
My partner had a deep 5CM cut and it took at least 5 hours to get him sorted. All they had to do was clean the wound, and booster shot. A 10 minute procedure that took sooooo long! I guess this is a lesson learned for us to go to a private hospital or a good GP perhaps.
They saved mums life by operating on her at 3am in the morning to stop a bleed on her brain. The nurses were wonderful, and we will be forever grateful. However, the lack of communication to myself and my sister after her surgery and the number of times we requested to see a doctor for a summary of what had happened and how she was doing was just beyond ridiculous. We understand they are busy but it takes 5 minutes to speak to family members after a traumatic event so we could get a better understanding of what to expect etc. We FINALLY saw a doctor on her last day. Goodluck trying to get through on the phone for an MRI referral as well. Doctor via video call which is also ridiculous after a stroke advised that a referral for a follow up MRI would be sent through as she needed another one in three months. This was in February. I have been calling for over a month trying to get this referral it's now April and you just get passed around on the phone. Was finally called back & they said something would be booked in. Did we get a call? No. Did we get an option of where it will be done? No. I then called back to move the telehealth call with the Dr and was advised against it because we wouldn't speak to him until August instead of May. So now we wait for a phone call for a local referral which probably won't happen before the appointment date. It's a shame that people perform life changing surgery but cannot send a simple referral when they say they will.
In my opinion this is a good hospital and great for international students and temporary visa holders. There won’t be any out of pocket cost for them when using specialists or other services if you have private health insurance. I am not sure about admitting to hospital but all other services are great. Thank you all for your services dear staffs.
