My elderly father was recently admitted to the Emergency department at St Vincent’s, and I was quietly stunned at the level of care. I live in London, and I’ve lived in the US, and I’ve never encountered such a thorough, attentive, human level of care anywhere else in the world. He was transferred to ward the next day, and so well looked after. The medical staff, the doctors, nurses and pharmacists were exemplary. Even the food was decent! Thanks to everyone at this wonderful institution. My mother and the rest of the family are forever grateful.
St Vincents Hospital is really good. The service was top notch. The doctors and nurses and admin staff were also super kind. The nurses made sure every small details were checked twice. I feel like i have been very well looked after. I had 2 procedures and honestly everyone was so nice. The room was clean with a nice view of the Melbourne skyline especially during sunrise and sunset. Excellent choice of food. felt safe and in good hands. Thanks to everyone at St Vincents Hospital. You all are amazing, caring andni am really thankful.nn3rd July 2024
Was in yesterday for hernia operation. My surgeon Andrew did a great job, nurses were so caring and supportive Amanda, Mark and Angel can't remember the name. Everyone just made it so bearable. God bless you all.
My partner needed an urgent referral transferred through to his gp after injuring himself and ending up in the hospital there the day before. They said they could and would send it straight through as he needed it for an appointment he had booked for the afternoon. Nearly 4 hours later and it still wasn’t received so he called back just to ask for an update and the lady in outpatients reception was a different lady to the first and she was extremely rude to him. I understand some days may be really busy and that things can take time but he only asked for an update so he could figure out if he needed to cancel his appointment. I hope that in future you do better and treat people with the same respect that you expect from your patients.
The other day, I spoke with Rebecca from the ENT department.nnThey were extremely helpful in explaining the waiting list process and how it all worked, even after I asked a thousand questions. They even went out of their way to send a follow-up email explaining what we discussed and providing the details of some ENT specialists I can get in contact with.nnTheir help was really appreciated, and the hospital is lucky to have them!
