I was on this hospital last January! But after that I went overseas for a vacation.nnI waited for 6 hours in triage because they’ve mentioned if it’s critical then they’ll prioritise other patients. So I understand.nnWhat is absurd and I felt scammed and put my name under debt collection agency whatsoever.. so here’s my side. I was on triage and a nurse collected my vital signs and info. So she told me go to the next window and the guy there will get your insurance policy and will get the consultation fee.nSo me and my partner went to him and handover our Medibank card HOWEVER. He returned it back happily and says “I’ll not asked for a payment with you guys all nurses here are on a wage protest so if the finance department calls u just ignored them” so I went back and waited for my call for a doctor consultation. So ignore because I was not feeling well at all..nnI just went back from my vacation and I received a message about this finance department. First of all if you guys have problem with your nurses. Deal with them and don’t put your patients into trouble and be on a debt collection policy. To that male nurse who’ve put us into this distress. U should better quit your job and let the karma chase u back from what you’ve done to me and my partner! Thank you this might be a hospital with great facilities but the worse and not even worth for a 1 star review.
I'm suffering from a very intense pneumonia at the moment, I was referred here after my GP thought I was getting worse. The entire process, from the nurses at triage there were 2 and both so lovely and helpful, to the team in the ED can't remember everyone's name but my doc was Dino and the nurse who took care of me longest was Abi was very smooth and high quality. I was investigated thoroughly, genuinely felt like everyone cared, and both me and my partner were supported while I spent about 7-8 hours in there before I was admitted to the ward. The ward team was also very supportive, the bed was comfortable and various members of the team checked in on me to make sure I had everything I needed. I had bad ED experiences in the past in Melbourne, but this was great. The food in the ED was... not so great, but I'll take it considering everything else.
I ended up at the emergency dept last night. The staff were fantastic from the minute i got there. They triaged me quickly, made sure I was comfortable, tests happened quickly, and I had nurses checking on me often and the dr clearly explained everything. Nothing but total appreciation for the care I received
After being diagnosed with prostate cancer and being told by my surgeon that St Vincent‘s is the best hospital to have this procedure at because of the after-carenthe care which i have been receiving now for the last 12 months from both Gail and Molly the dedicated prostate cancer nurses has been amazing. These two ladies really care and they make a difference in people’s livesnThank you ladies
Every other contact ive had with this hospital has been good up until now! Booked for surgery at 8am, 3 hour drive to hospital, support worker helping me. Get booked in change into gown 5 mins later told myself surgery cancelled due to union strike!! NOT HAPPY!! Another 3 hour drive home! Will take me days to recover from travel. I understand there are strikes etc but why not some sort of warning! Now im going to loss days due to recovering and loss of funds as my support worker still needs to be paid! Absolutely fumming!!
