I ended up at the emergency dept last night. The staff were fantastic from the minute i got there. They triaged me quickly, made sure I was comfortable, tests happened quickly, and I had nurses checking on me often and the dr clearly explained everything. Nothing but total appreciation for the care I received
I visited the emergency department last evening due to severe sore throat and yellow phlegm. The reception staff were friendly, which was appreciated. However, the doctor who attended to me did not seem experienced or thorough.nMy throat was in extreme pain — it hurt to swallow and even to speak. Despite describing my symptoms clearly, the doctor performed a very brief and seemingly unprofessional examination. When checking my heart, the stethoscope was placed near my chest area in a manner that felt unusual. For comparison, I’ve been to the emergency department at Canberra Hospital before, and never had a stethoscope applied that way.nThe doctor dismissed my condition as not serious and hand wrote a prescription for me to buy medication at Woolis. I followed the instructions and took the medicine as directed, but today my condition has worsened significantly. I’ve developed a cough, and the throat pain has become so severe that it brings me to tears.nIt’s extremely concerning when a doctor fails to provide an accurate diagnosis or appropriate treatment. This kind of oversight can seriously delay proper care and worsen a patient’s condition. I hope my feedback can help improve the quality of care for future patients.
St Vincents Hospital is really good. The service was top notch. The doctors and nurses and admin staff were also super kind. The nurses made sure every small details were checked twice. I feel like i have been very well looked after. I had 2 procedures and honestly everyone was so nice. The room was clean with a nice view of the Melbourne skyline especially during sunrise and sunset. Excellent choice of food. felt safe and in good hands. Thanks to everyone at St Vincents Hospital. You all are amazing, caring andni am really thankful.nn3rd July 2024
I attended the IVIG clinic for three days.for treatment. I cannot thank the staff enough. They are so professional patient and very warm. I felt safe comfortable and supported. We are incredibly fortunate to have such amazing health care professionals.
I presented at StVH emergency recent because of a severe head injury. My whole management was exemplary. All the staff and my management team Dr Stephen Parnis and Hannah Heng were caring, kind and efficient.nThanks very much and love your work.nI had 2 lots of extensive brain scans, multiple blood tests and a neurosurgical consult , all in 1 day.nBeing a retired anaesthetist and having worked in our public system for nearly 50 years, it gave me satisfaction to know that our free for all healthcares are in good hands. May it always be so.nThanks and much appreciatednKean Mac
